both models look pretty much finished to me, so they could only work together on the texes and on the game implementation, but thats of course crap, since the models are different from each other ;)

Yes I did Jabba, sorry I didn't reply. Basically the texture looks so bad because I have used the tie fighter's texture (hey, it was my first model, give me a break :P) and lots of the mapping is focused on one wiry-looking area, making it pretty much impossible to give it a decent-looking texture. Not sure if that made sense or not, LoL.

Yes it does, because it isn't possible to give it a better texture. And you asked for the UV maps (or something, I wasn't entirely sure what you meant, texturing is still new to me) so that you could reskin it. But with practically every mesh pointing to the same place on the tie fighter texture you can't make all the textures seperate. Another huge flaw by me :P.

woops sorry  yes I like it but I think I'm going to make the texture a straight color on the side, because it looks very stretched....

Sorry to hijack, but RC-1290 -- if you get that textured it would take like 10 minutes for me to make a vehicle out of it. AND it would appear in the map pack.

I feel like I've been swallowed up, grinded into dust and spat back out again, LoL.

Ah well, we all know RC's mauler is 10x better than my own :P. It isn't his first model after all.

Hopefully I'll get better at this one day, LoL.

Well it is great for a first work. I'm sure you'll get better at modeling over time, you just have to practice, practice, practice. One thing i recommend you do, is do UV maps instead of putting UVs all over each other. That way you can make a new skin for the vehicle eventually.

yea, I think I started on about 30 models last two month's... just to practice with XSI, and before that I've been making objects in GTKradiant(JKA)... It took my quite some time to learn and my first models looked terrible....
Really, I think you just need some time, and this is great for a start. Just like I need loads of time to learn texturing, UV mapping etcetera.... seriously...
