Why won't my new world open in game?
When I create the world through the mod tools following the tutorial the munging is successful with no error messages. I made sure the world had the 3 letter ID, a title, and a brief description before munging. When I get the message that says I can open up the game I do so and I find that the world name is labeled with the 3 letter ID usually followed by a '%' and random lower case letters. When I click on the world and put it in the queue I click launch and the screen turns black and a tiny error message pops up sayings it cannot open the mission.lvl of the world I created. What's going on? I followed the tutorials exactly. I cannot seem to find other people with this issue. Thank you!

Question #7 - I'm using Windows Vista/7/8.x/10 and Visual Munge is not working properly, it's munging too fast, what's wrong?
Answer - Try THIS munge fix or the Fixed and improved munge files to get it working properly.

You got the munge fix? That might work

I'm not too sure what you meanSkinnyODST wrote:You got the munge fix? That might work
EDIT
So I already have the v1.1 installed as well as the unofficial v1.3 mod. My game is perfectly fine at running custom maps off of the internet, but it is exclusively the ones I try to create that do not work.AQT wrote:The answers to the following FAQs should help you resolve these issues:The FAQ / Everything You Need Thread Version 3.0 wrote:...

Re: Why won't my new world open in game?
Longer manual fix:
Edit munge.bat in the _Build folder and for WORLD_PARAMETERS= put your 3 letter map ID. (Example: WORLD_PARAMETERS=ABC)
If you're using custom sides, put SIDE_PARAMETERS=EVERYTHING if you're not using custom sides, leave that line empty the way it was.
Save and close munge.bat.
Run munge.bat and wait for the command prompt to disappear.
Go to Data_MODID and in the addme folder, run mungeAddme.bat.
Now, browse to your game's addon folder and make a new folder called your map ID. Inside there, make another folder called Data or DATA (Caps not mattering)
Also, in the primary map ID folder, copy the addme.script that was created in Data_MODID\addme\munged\
Then, in the Data folder you made, make another folder called _LVL_PC. Inside _LVL_PC, copy the following things from Data_MODID\_LVL_PC:
- mission.lvl
- core.lvl
- 3 letter world folder with it's map file inside it.
- SIDE folder if your mod is using custom sides.
At this point your mod should be playable. Every Time you munge, just copy the files that were edited.
If you edited localization, copy core.lvl
If you edited map Lua files, copy mission.lvl
If you edited the map, copy the map 3 letter folder or it's 3 letter .lvl file inside it.

Did you two not see question and answer #7 in the quote from the FAQ, or did you briefly skim over it without reading any of the key words?DarthVeers wrote:I'm not too sure what you meanSkinnyODST wrote:You got the munge fix? That might work
There, I removed question and answer #3 in case it was blinding you or something. The FAQ / Everything You Need Thread Version 3.0 wrote:...
