Well I try not to judge maps exclusively from glamour shots...but so far this looks "Wow!!!!" The complexity of the environment, the atmosphere, the way it looks complete rather than a lot of different planets bashed together.....basically everything about it = awesome looking.

Anyway nice to have one of the best mappers back again. :)

Agree with that. Honestly, to some extent it doesn't even look like a BF2 map - it looks like it could have come from something better (did you edit those screenshots at all after taking them? Or did you play around with the blur and other environmental settings a lot?). Either way, looks great. *makes mental note to play with godrays in future maps*

Awesome.

It's amazing how much a little bit (or a lot) of environmental fx editing can improve the appearance.

The moonlight shadows and godrays are spectacular.
I never, ever use this smiley, but this definitely deserves it from what I've seen of those few screenshots.

Great environmental work, I'll be watching this intently

It looks good and its about time someone just used the shipped units because most of the custom units are unbalanced

Not always, sometimes the shipped ones are very unbalanced too.

well I think the unbalanced-ness doesn't come from the shipped sides. it's a variety of other factors. I agree with Dom380 that sticking to a more traditional sides. cuz it makes the game more coherent

I am really not objecting to the fact that you will be using shipped sides, only to the statement that custom sides are usually unbalanced.

To react to your new map; It looks fabeltastic (Tried to be original for a twist) and I think it will make, once again, beatifull gameplay! 8)

thanks man
I'm technically using custom sides, but i'm keeping all traditional units and weapons.

The only real side changes are:
-adding a normal Battledroid to the CIS
-changing some skins
-adding dwarfspider droids
-and slightly more vibrant laser fx
-if i include heroes, then i'll probably do some kind of custom hero thing... i don't know yet lol
--also the turrets regenerate after a minute or so, after they are destroyed.

Spider droids seem to be the hit thing right, everyone seems to be adding them to their maps.

**Hugs a_speck_of_dust**

Yeah so anyways, for some reason I think that the 41st would fit into this map... Fighting against some battle droids... maybe it's an attack on one of (insert seperatist leaders name here)'s personal escapes.

In GCW I think that black would be a good color. And maybe some tiger-stripes on the AT-ST's Im just spitballing here so feel free to discount my stuff.

That looks cool, I just think you should cover the sides of his "chin" too, right now it looks kinda segmented.
