I will. I have to get the arm gun on, retexture the body to go with the head, texture the jetpack, the gauntlet, and the arm gun, and I also have to add more details, although those will just be white.

Holy smokes, Fluffy! That is one nice model you got there! It looks great so far. You are using the Blaze Trooper picture on Wookiepedia as the reference, right? I can and am willing to reskin him if you want as long as you give him some proper knee pads. Looking forward to seeing the finished product and keep up the good work! :)

Did I say anything abot asking you to reskin it? 'Cuz I was gonna ask you to anyways. :P Yeah, the arm gun thing is giving me trouble. The gauntlet isn't the greatest, and I can't UV, so I'm gonna juswt have multiple textures for the jetpack, gauntlet, arm gun, and anything else I add. And as for the texture, I found that the darktrooper and clone trooper have pretty much the same UVs, so before I send you the texture, AQT, I'm copy and paste the clone trooper head onto the body. I mean, I could use the clone trooper skin by Satti and edit it a little, but i think using the darktrooper as a base will look better.

Nice start on the Blaze trooper. Are you gonna make the wrist mounted flamethrower and make an odf similar to the Wristblaster for it?

Heres something Ive been working on for a bit
1914 Triangles
14 Objects

Just Need to skin it (bleh) and then I might animate it and put it ingame as a local, the Clone is to show scale.

Nice!

You know, it'd be awesome to see one of those Arachnid Warriors fighting against Clonetroopers. Klendathu vs the Galactic Republic and the CIS... and then a few years later they start fighting the Empire and the Rebellion. Would suck to see a swarm of those coming at you during the heat of battle.

Anyways, enough of my blibber-blabber -- I really like it! Very accurate....and I do mean very accurate. That's pretty detailed for a custom model. I see no flaws that are noticable at the moment, unless my eyes decieve me.

Thanks, the Legs are not completely accurate though as I took some liberties to reduce polycount, plus I got bored of looking at it for so long. Took me about 2-3 hours total to model over several days. I'll post more screens later when its textured including a wire. I just wish I was a fast as Caleb, Mav, Mandrek and the rest at this.

Got it as in understood. :) Also, did you remove the fin from the Clone Trooper's helmet? I can't really tell from the picture you posted. You should though.

You'll notice we don't do organics from scratch. Well except for maybe MadeRek's Durge
I think for being an organic life form, you've managed to pull it off very well without being high poly. Good luck on the texturing, I had to texture a Ronto once, and It wasn't fun, I can tell you. :P

Ok, I removed the sides of the fin and moved the top down, as I am too lazy to press n. The kneepads gave me some trouble, and I'm gonna need textures for the gauntlet, flamethrower, kneepads, and jetpack, as I've said before. They should be simple textures that I can use without UVing, as I'm learning to UV right now, and I want my models to not be UV'd because that wouldn't go well.
@VF501: I'm usiong ]v['s phase III darktrooper as a base.
EDIT: whoah, just realized something. The flamethrower should just be a weapon model, and I'm gonna model it on the darktrooper's msh just for sizing, and then I'm gonna use the phase III for most everything else. Can anyone tell me what the hardpoints for a jetpack would be, as well as the hardpoints for a gun?

Thanks for the nice compliment.. You've really made an awesome model there dude! Organics are never easy. The part of moddeling, making it look smooth etc is difficult, but the most difficult part of organics is TEXTURING. Especially things without cloth. Making the texture/uvs blend over in different objects/parts is HELL. I made a Gelagrub one day (Felucia walker) and it was difficult.. Didn't look so good in the end, was my first walker, and i decided to leave it.

Fast is nothing.. Detailed is everything. Also, why we are fast with organics, is indeed; humans/species need cloth, and we use the max of assets, meaning the UVs are already done for us.

Keep up this awesome work man, and good luck texturing in the end

Hey, you're back! How was wherever the place you went?
Okay, so I'm having major troubles with the blaze trooper's flamethrower. I'm just gonna duplicate the other gauntlet and manipulate it a little and then add the actual gun.

It was loads of fun, sleeping from 8.00 am till 1 in the afternoon, just was a perfect holiday! :D

Here is the improved Grappledroid and the MLD-92 Blaster Rifle for the Terra Sool Militia Soldiers.

Grapple Droid

MLD-92 Blaster Rifle

Hidden/Spoiler:
The MLD-92 was a variant made by the Militia, based on the DC-15A. The weapon had a scope, with a quite small range, different ordnance and more shots; but unaccurate

The Grappledroid has improved claws, in textures, but also in model. Also, the white parts give light ingame (Torso, shoulder and claws, not good noticable in this pic)

Here's the flamethrower:
Image
The actual modeling part is done. Now all I need is the texture.... :faint: (In case you haven't noticed, texturing is NOT my strong point) Although, I just LOVE the curve I made in it, even if it makes it unrealistic to the actual blaze trooper. And I have a question about the hardpoints; I know that there's hp_active and hp_fire, but can there be more than one hp_fire on a weapon? 'Cuz I wanna make it seem like the flame is also coming out of the holes that I will texture into the sides.
EDIT: Wait, never mind, the modeling's not completely done, I still neeed to add some stuff.
