Re: The Maze (Version 1)RE-Released!!!!!
Yeah, I used 7-Zip, it is the same thing I use for all .rar files. I haven't tried this new version out yet, only the old one that didn't work.
EDIT: 93 mb is still very large. If you have 7-Zip, (Which works better than Winrar by the way, I tried winrar but had problems with it) then Use Ultra Compression and create an SFX archive so it turns into a .exe file. Files I had that were 180mb uncompressed were now 30mb or less compressed. It just really saves time and you will get more downloads that way. Also haven't checked yet, but If you included the tur side, then I will kill my self and please don't! It is not needed despite whether or not you have turrets. Anyhow, looks good, I will give you feedback in an hour or so after I test the map.

Re: The Maze (Version 1)RE-Released!!!!!
Alright, Just extracted it and it is about 300mb, which is an improvement from before, however, I just went into the side folder and removed 100mb that consisted of uneeded sideshells, and the tur side. Also, the common.lvl within the load folder is only 1kb and should be at least 3,000kb. Other than that you are all set, except this might just be my opinion, but the second I stepped on the battle field i was shot instantly, after 10 tries at trying to get on the battle field I kind of lost interest. It is still very cool though.

Re: The Maze (Version 1)RE-Released!!!!!
I didn't think the map was that bad. There were some issues, like the way that the stripes kind of hurt your eyes, but not too bad. A suggestion: Try giving the droideka missile blasters! :vader2:obiboba3po wrote:bump but yea, FF removed it. i let em tho, cause it was extremely unpopular lol. it was my first map not meant to be that great. but if anyone really wants i suppose i cud re-upload it...Darkzero wrote:Ahhh Broken link

Re: The Maze (Version 1)RE-Released!!!!!
Well, when (if) I get my mod tools to work, I was gonna make it into some sort of clan tryout map. And why'd ya say "like"? From my knowledge, we're the only 2 people to have made mazes for battlefront.

Re: The Maze (Version 1)RE-Released!!!!!
That is pretty much what mine was originally for. It was going to be a training map for the clan. Basically first you had to pass tryouts then you were in the clan. In order to fight in any battle though you had to be able to beat this map. It was designed so that it would take about a month or so, but I've lightened it up now.Fluffy_the_ic wrote:Well, when (if) I get my mod tools to work, I was gonna make it into some sort of clan tryout map.

Re: The Maze (Version 1)RE-Released!!!!!
Well, mine will technically be impossible to reskin. The entire thing is pretty much one texture. And instead of it being UV'd across the model, it's just cuibc'd pver and over again.obiboba3po wrote:erm..do u think i cud use it in v.2.0 maybe? cough...woner11 wrote:That is pretty much what mine was originally for. Re: The Maze (Version 1)RE-Released!!!!!
Mine will not have a version two and if released will be released as a whole unit, so I'm not sure what use you would have for it. I'm not sure but I think mine also might be impossible to skin as well, but you're welcome to it after my map is done. I don't understand though why you don't just make your own, it isn't all that hard.

Re: The Maze (Version 1)RE-Released!!!!!
I think by for version two, he meant his map. And some people have trouble modeling. My first model was literally just making primitives and setting values for it.woner11 wrote:Mine will not have a version two and if released will be released as a whole unit, so I'm not sure what use you would have for it. What you can do is take a cube and just keep extruding faces. That's how most of mine are done.
