Should The StarForge have a full interior like in the game or just the classic 3 rooms like in bFII but redesigned to look more like the StarForge? (please treat this as a serious poll, if I do the full interior the map will not be released until mid-may)

Lol everytime Teancum posts on my topics, its never on topic. lolz

anyways, I dont think I will be making custom cockpits for the fighters, simply because it is far too time consuming and I want to finish this map some times soon.

It's looking really great so far though, Gogie! I like it alot. (Well yeah because it's by an awesome mapper and yea and like uhh it's the Battle of Rakata Prime! :D lolz)

What do you guys mean by custom cockpit? Are those first person textures? This thread has been here forever, What is the percentage of completion on this map? :dstar: It looks pretty cool. I can't wait until it comes out!

(If you need BETA testers I am willing to test this map.)

@LJ: Yeah, I'm refering to first person textures. Especially the hawk would be much better when you could fly it from the first person perspetive. For all the other fighters, some simple recolored skins of already existing cockpits would be enough. Like the X-Wing for the the sith fighter, the A-Wing one for the Aurek, the ARC-170 one for the L-Wing/Republic Assault fighter...and so on.

@Gogie: Do you plan to include the Sith Freighter?

I don't think there even are first-person cockpits in BF2. First person in a ship is just a simple view of the space in front of you. Am I wrong?

Well. Look at Penguin's BOC there are cockpits on that map. But I'd suggest leaving them out of this one for now unless Gogie feels up to more work.

all cockpits are in the game, you just have to change the most common of microsoft coding that silences out lines and delete the '//' that silences out the line calling for the cockpit mesh.

Great...the Sith somehow lacked craft variety.

Are you sure the cockpits are meshes? When you take a look at the ones provided on Bespin: Platforms, they appear different.

yes theyre meshs, you can even look in the assets yourself.

They lacked variety because they mass-produced thousands upon thousands of the same ships. Who needs variety when you have a swarm of uniform, easy-to-replace ships that you can use to easily overwhelm the enemy, who, I might add, were mainly using old, Mandalorian Wars-era ships that were still left after Revan and Malak basically jacked a third of the entire Republic fleet, leaving the remainder with nothing more than out-dated frigates and fighters. I was thinking of just making a new animation for him standing (everything else is ok, its just I dont like the way he stands for idle mode either, and it would look a ton better if It was made to adjust to fit the mesh itself)

IMO, I think he'd look better with a E-5 carbine (even though E-5's weren't invented til RotE era). It'd actually look more...how can I say, 'droid' like. I dunno.

I think he just gave it a gun so that he's holding a gun.

But it looks great Gogie...even though I'm glad that the texture is WIP. His face doesn't seem 'mean' enough and the texture everywhere is a bit wonky. But overall it's pretty sweet! Fantabulous that it's even this far!!

@Schizo: Maybe the Sith didn't need variety, but we do, since uniformity and lack of change easily kill the fun. And gaming's all about fun.

1.That HK looks really good, except for the head, but I'm sure you've already noticed that.
2.Honestly, who needs HK here? He remained on the Hawk when Revan attacked the SF...not that HK wouldn't be cool to play, but If I were you, I'd do Juhani, Jolee, Sith Troopers etc. first, and then, eventually, when they're all done, HK as a piece of bonus content.
3. This doesn't mean that HK isn't cool, and it doesn't mean you shouldn't do him. It is just that the order that appears...alternative to me.
