Measurement in ZE? [Solved]
I was just wondering, how do I know how big a map is using the metric system via ZE? What I mean is, how do I measure in ZE?... is this something really simple?

Re: Measurement in ZE?
Each grid tile is 8x8 meters as stated in the ZeroEditor_guide.doc
128x128 terrain = 1024x1024 meters
512x512 terrain = 4096x4096 meters
1024x1024 terrain = 8192x8192 meters
There is a Tape Measure tool in Path Edit Mode that you can use to measure if you need it.
1609.344 meters = 1 mile
0.3048 meters = 1 foot
1 meter = 3.2808399 feet
The default terrain size is actually 128x128 but the 256x256 in the quote represents how many grid tiles are in X and Z but each grid tile is 8x8 meters and 256 x 8 = 2048 therefore: 256x256 terrain = 2048x2048 meters...While the default map size 256 x 256 meters with an 8 meter grid of squares...
128x128 terrain = 1024x1024 meters
512x512 terrain = 4096x4096 meters
1024x1024 terrain = 8192x8192 meters
