Xbox graphics for PC version of SWBFII
Hi guys. I recently watched some Xbox footage of SWBFII and I think I prefer the way it looks than the PC version on all max settings.
Could someone help me figure out what to set my SWBFII video settings to so that it looks like the Xbox version of SWBFII?
I think bloom is off on the Xbox version...

The Xbox version uses some different assets than the PC and PS2 versions. Regardless, texture settings on medium and somewhat lower view/LOD distance settings might do the trick.

That is probably what makes it look how I like it.Marth8880 wrote:The Xbox version uses some different assets than the PC and PS2 versions.

You haven't played the Xbox version, have you. It's by far the most superior out-of-the-box version.Marth8880 wrote:The Xbox version uses some different assets than the PC and PS2 versions. Regardless, texture settings on medium and somewhat lower view/LOD distance settings might do the trick.

So there isn't any real way to get Xbox graphics for the PC?

I don't have an Xbox. I have SWBFII on PS2 and PC.

I thought for most games the PC version got the best "treatment" in development.
Why was the Xbox version the one LucasArts focused on? They got a DLC and everything!

Console games are a LOT easier to develop for (with the exception of the PS3), so they usually get a lot more treatment; the PC versions just usually look and sound better.

I see, but that still doesn't explain why only the Xbox got a DLC. I know that the PS2 doesn't really have an online DLC thing like Xbox had back in the day but the PC version should have been able to support it.
Was LucasArts worried about people downloading without paying? Or did they just assume we could mod it all in.

Re: Xbox graphics for PC version of SWBFII
That's exactly why. All the game assets from both games were available. Consoles don't get that kind of treatment. They rely on things like PAID dlc, whereas the PC gets free, community fueled content.kitfisto15678 wrote:I see, but that still doesn't explain why only the Xbox got a DLC. Why didn't LucasArts include the proffesionally converted maps in the Mod tools? I think they included the mission.lvl stuff...

Re: Xbox graphics for PC version of SWBFII
Because the tools for SWBF2 came out before the Xbox DLC. Plus they would have missed out on money if they just gave away the same stuff on PC. People who owned both would have downloaded the free PC DLC instead of the paid Xbox stuff.
