Problem with Youtube videos.

Post by Fusion »

Has anyone else been having a problem where Youtube videos will just show up as black boxes? It seems to have started around the time that I upgraded Adobe Flash to version 10.2.152.32. I managed to fix it earlier by doing a restart, but the second I watch any other type of flash-based video it starts up doing the black box thing again.

The videos still work if I embed them someplace else, but the problem continues on the main site regardless.

Edit 1: I seem to have found a temporary fix. Changing the http:// to https:// makes the videos load for some reason. If you are having this problem do that for now while I try to find out if this is a Youtube error, an Adobe error, or both.

I saw the same error last night; I have the same version of Flash as you and so can't confirm where the problem lies. You shouldn't have any problem viewing embedded videos, though - the problem is only viewing them through the Youtube site.

At least it's not just me. If it wasn't I was going to start uninstalling/installing various things but now that I know it's a global thing I don't have to. :P
