EDIT: Started on a bump map, never made one for BF2 so I'm gonna try it out and see how it looks.

Re: W.I.P. - B-Wing
Small update since I distracted myself with another model to keep myself interested, worked on the textures a little more and also got a really good working collision. Had to use all primitives since every part is animated.

Yeah but in game it isn't all that noticeable even though I play with the video setting maxed out, probably because the layer styles set in photoshop when I made the textures. All the panels and lines are set to bevel and emboss.

Keep in mind that Battlefront II's shaders are fairly primitive compared to it's next-gen counterparts. They still get the job done though.

We have theoretically found a way to create new shaders though. The Nasal Abyss wrote:Keep in mind that Battlefront II's shaders are fairly primitive compared to it's next-gen counterparts. They still get the job done though.

battlefront can display bumpaps pretty well, just make sure to have maximum contrast. if the bumps arent stong enough you can always increase the bumpscale, adding a specularmap also makes the bumpmap stand out more.

Where is the option to increase the bumpscale for the game?

Re: W.I.P. - B-Wing
the bumpscale is set in the .tga.option of the bumptexture with "-bumpscale value", the default value is about 6.0 i think. the bumptexture should also have "-format bump" so that battlefornt doenst look in the alphachannel for the bumpnfo and it can be used for the specmap if you use flag number 28.

Re: W.I.P. - B-Wing
Well I added the option file and I had already set up the edit flags before but to the normal bumpmap not the bump+spec but I may have to do that and make a spec map cause I just can't even see it, not sure if it's even working.
