Modded First Person View
Is it possible to make a clone helmet "hud" if your a clone and you turn to the first person view? Like Republic Commando.

I am not even an expert, but maybe adding a HUD mesh to the 1st person mesh? it would require a lot of work.

yes, you would do something like what rep did for his unofficial patch v1.2. But it would probably require extensive editing, and then the HUD will probably obsure out a lot of the sight (people already complain about rep's mod even though it hardly blocks anything).

Re: Modded First Person View
The unofficial 1.2 patch sure blocks some stuff, but then what about a semi-transparent HUD like in Metroid Prime? I don't know, even then I play mostly on 3rd person, specially in NoTeamDamage servers because there are too much explosive noobs around.

Yes, it is, but requires modeling each part and having an extensive knowledge of how .hud files work.Commander_Cody771 wrote:Is it possible to make a clone helmet "hud" if your a clone and you turn to the first person view? Like Republic Commando.

Re: Modded First Person View
We discussed this on xfire.
1. Make a model of the hud in XSI, export to .msh file
2. Reference this mshfile in the .hud file
use this documentation http://www.gametoast.com/forums/viewtop ... &sk=t&sd=a

Wait, Rep, it's the same for only first person view? Cuz that's what he wants to do.

Re: Modded First Person View
Yeah I guess you could stick the hud model in front of the first person view mesh for the hands. It'd require a bit more work making sure both the arms and the hud are correct though. Then there's the possibility the hud would move around and clip in the camera.Fluffy_the_ic wrote:Wait, Rep, it's the same for only first person view? Cuz that's what he wants to do.
