Explosion and effect are invisible from far away [Solved]
Effects and explosion are invisble from far away you can't see them.

you cant "fix" (its no bug) that but maybe you can increase the visibilityrange in the sky file...

How to fix it:
Easy way (with PE)
1) Open up the effect in PE.
2) Click the "Emitter" Tab. Click "Add Emitter."
3) Add either a "...rockettrail...." or one of the explosions (eg com_sfx_explosion_xl) with a white shockwave.
4) Delete each bit of the new emitter you just added to your effect except "Smoke" or "Shockwave".
5) Select that emitter ("Smoke" or "Shockwave"). Set MaxParticles to 0.
6) Select that emitter ("Smoke" or "Shockwave"). Click the "Emitter" Tab. Click "Move Emitter Up." Repeat until that emitter is the first one on the list.
7) Save the effect.
Should now show up at long range. Reason for this is the first emitter ("Smoke" or "Shockwave"...which doesn't appear but is till technically there) has an LOD of 800-1100 as opposed to the normal 10-50.
There might be an easier way to do it but this is the way I (usually) do it.

Hmmm, maybe that should be added to the FAQ, as it's a neat trick not generally known.
