Yes chewbacca all the way. As many have said before, If you do include him him him some good weapons. I actually don't play him much because he isn't that entertaining to use (of course, that's just my opinion)

BTW, now that you have lava, you might want to update the first page...

Yea, but it would take too long to model and get the weapons working. Besides, Era's map already pwns with the things already in his map! :D

Why ? JA models can be converted, and a clone commander chain gun would be a nice imperial repeater.

Converting models is no fun. It takes about 4-5hours of work.

Oh yes...I forgot about that. By the way, Murdocr has updated the lava so now it features glow, no collision, a low-rez model, and a scrolling texture. Thanks again Murdocr! I really appreciate it!

@ Desann -- almost done prepping those models. Need a day or two.

Looking sweet BTW, but then again, I love all your maps.

But it's definately funnier than creating new ones from Scratch. And did you forget the Rule # 1 : [GT]EraOfDesann never wears a watch - he decides how late it is^^

But the Hazard Troopers are in no way essential for this project.
We can easily live without them.

Just a question, Desann:
How vehicle-orientated is this map ? Are there enough tanks and speeder for everyone (as it appears to me on the screens), or is this an accident ?

EraOfDesann doesn't convert models. He just stares at them and dares them to fail.

Anyways..

I remember this map from way back when! Glad to see that it's still in production. Good that you got that lava working, I remember I tried fixing something on this map for you..haha. If only I remember what it was.

Must say, I"m looking forward to the release! (or beta, hint hint :P)

Pulch is right about my number one rule. :P There's never a clear release date whenever I'm behind a project. Not something I'm proud of...

It'd be awesome to put in a hazard trooper but there's the hastle of converting and a skin probably wouldn't be that convincing. What I had in mind for the Empire's special unit were IG assassin droids. Is that a good idea or not? If anyone else has ideas please share them.

As for vehicles, each faction starts with 3 combat vehicles and 3 speeders. Both sides can get two more combat vehicles by capturing one of two command posts. The 5th one can spawn 2 speeders. It doesn't take that long to get from one place to another on foot but I'm really considering upping the number of units on the field so that the action is balanced throughout the map.

Tean- Lookin' forward to the models! I'll be able to fill in some empty areas with'm and they'll be very useful for my upcoming maps.

Epena- I think you tried to help me get Plo Koon in-game. Never did get him in. But I'm satisfied with Mace.

I've decided to have both Chewie and Han in the map. One will show up as a locked class until you get a lot of points, and the other will be playable the traditional way. I plan on giving Chewie the DLT-19 and his crossbow. As for secondary weapons...I dunno.

Lots of speeders and vehicles ? Superb !

A secondary weapon for Chewie ? A fusion cutter, because he "sliced" an AT-TE in RoTJ.
Or a bowcaster firing different projectiles...wait... somethere the sources state that a bowcaster can also be used as a crossbow - so what about a bowcaster firing beefed-up ewok spears ?

Or a wampa close combat animation, called "wookie-fists" or something like this.

A fusion cutter is a good idea...As for the spear shooting bow and wampa strikes that might be a bit too much. This will be my first time doing new units. If they work that is.

lookin very spicy indeed :o . I think the idea of chewy having a vibroblade instead of those anoying rockets would be good. Just a suggestion

Chewie forever! Give him some improvement to both the rocket and bowcaster and your good to go. The rocket is good if you know how to use it outside of asssault ;) but the bowcaster is awful.

Well, IG assassin droids would be nice. Oh, maybe you could give one a pulse cannon, like the one IG-88 used. Fun, fun, fun! :o

A pulse cannon is a nice idea. You might have to go into detail about the weapon though. The projectiles, the gun, etc...

From what I remember of Shadows of the Empire, the Pulse Cannon is a little inacturate and weak, but has a really fast rate of fire. The ordinance is purple, in the shape of a sphere. As for the gun itself, I can't really say - the game is so old that I think they just used the same model for all the weapons. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, cause it's been a while. Oh my, I'm suddenly motivated to make the disruptor from that game

No that green-ball-fires-all-drop-death-weapon ! Spare us!

That pulse cannon also runs out of ammo very fast. The range is about the one of the SWBF II shotgun.

And yes, SotE used only one model for all weapons. But it's almost the same nowadays.

Well, I might not use the pulse cannon: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Pulse_cannon

However the radiation launcher was something I was considering but I still need ideas for secondary weapons.

I have the Imperial Rad Trooper (for raditation) and a custom Alliance Rad Trooper, both made by Schizo, both awesome skins. If you want them, just let me know.

Version 1.7.5 of the BF1 pack will be out in very soon, at which point, all you'll have to do is put the following in your lua, and mention 1.7.5 or higher of the BF1 pack is required to play.

"rep_hero_plokoon")
