I'd have a tough time saying who I'm best at, but I enjoy playing Pikachu, ZSS, and Pit the most.

I like to play pretty much all the characters, but my best/favorites are Luigi, Pikachu, Ganondorf, Falco, and Sonic.

I have to agree with the previous statement.

Also what do you guy think of Olimar?

I really like playing as him. He's fun, unique, but at times lacks the power i need like Ike

As of now, I'm good with MK, Falco, and Olimar.

Hey, guys, I have decided I'm going to start playing... after I get $300 for the Wii and game... So I'll be playing in about 3 months. Could anyone tell me what the best choice would be for a starter character? Right now I'm thinking Pokemon Trainer, just because it's unexpected. And it's always been my dream to be a POKEMON MASTER!

Well if you haven't played any of the other ones, I'd suggest Mario. If you have played the other ones, start as the character you were best as in those.

Try them all out, and then decide which one you like most or which one fits your style of play the best.

Yeah, if you've never ever played Smash Bros, I'd start as Kirby. He can recover easily, has medium speed, fairly powerful attacks and isn't very difficult to play as. But as Xavious said it is really just trying out different characters and seeing which one you like. If you want to be a Pokemon Master, then there is nothing stopping you from learning how to rock as Pokemon Trainer. All the characters are pretty balanced, so you don't have to worry about wanting to play as someone that's actually a weak character

If you're new, go with mario, kirby, and ike.
