Texture problem with Zero Editor [Solved]

Post by AhsokaTano »

Hello guys! Finally I installed the Zero Editor in a computer which have Windows XP and ZE works.
But now, I have a different problem.
I made a lot of objects for my map, only two of them have textures, the rest of models haven't textures, but I put it in Blender. When I put the objects in the Zero Editor, the texture doesn't show, and the object appears in white.

Please, help me. I don't know what I have to do.

First things first, do the models have the texture applied correctly? Can you view them in the SWBFViewer and see the texture?

Yes, they have it. When I open the models with SWBF Viewer they have the texture.

Ok I haven't touched battlefront modding for a while so I might b a bit rusty. Because the texture doesn't show up in ZE but does show up in SWBF viewer, that means that ZE can't find the texture. So first things first. Did you put the texture that was exported with the moddel in the msh folder along with your mesh?

Yes. I fixed the problem one hour ago. It was a simple problem, my textures was 390x256. I forgot the textures have to be 256x256.

They don't have to be 256 x256 they can be any multiple of 2. 2x2, 4x4, 16x16, 32x32 and so on. Most of the stock textures are either 256 or 512, I personally don't use anything under 512, most of the time I try to use 1024. :)

A multiple of two is not the same as a power of two. Ten is a multiple of two but it is not a power of two. The textures should be any power of two, within the limits of the engine of course.
