Your answer (from the link in the first post)
When LucasArts terminated their contract with Free Radical Design (nowadays known as Crytek UK), the studio was not only working on Star Wars Battlefront III and Time Splitters 4. Instead, the company started the pre-production of another Star Wars Battlefront game.

As psyched about BF3 as I am I'm taking this with a pinch of salt. BF4 without a BF3? Unless LucasArts is trying to distance themselves from the Free Radical/Crytek crisis...

I'm beggining to doubt that we'll EVER get another Battlefront for the PC :(

I kinda suprised that no one else wants to make it; it would be a huge cash cow.

Well, BF4 would be definately my wishlist for x-Mas2010 (if it comes out, of course), but I doubt it.

Sadly the PSP BF's are bad (in m oppinion), otherwise I would buy them.

Please LucasArts: Tell us the truth, will there be a BF4, or not?<--- I know, unnecessary

Isn't "Battlefront:Rogue Squadron" considered to be number 4?

That would be the third game, but not Battlefront 3 (or 4). Nor is Elite Squadron.

Kotaku still has a couple:

Or better yet:

Just saw this bit on gametrailers:

Starting at about the 19:20 mark is of most interest.

Something is obviously up, he started hesitating when Battlefront-related stuff came up.

No. Stop. This is ridiculous thinking and I really can't stand the "Aha! He said nothing ergo he must have meant something! He said 'no' so he means 'yes!'" I want to see a new Battlefront game as much as the next guy but really - this is crazy talk. Usually when a developer says "we'll think about it in the future" it means... "we'll think about it in the future." I think it's pretty clear that they're working on Elite Squadron but nothing else at the moment. Anything else is taking the simplest logical interpretation, throwing it away, and diving full-force into wishful thinking.

Oh, I know, but hesitation is a common reaction when you are put on the spot about something that you don't want anyone to know about.

True, but making assumptions is a common reaction when someone wants something badly.

*facepalm* You're still doing it.

Seriously, guys, Listen to Mav'. Stop trying to psych out the developers, analyze their speech, or anything like that. What you guys need to do is be kriffing patient. When/if a new battlefront is going to come out, an announcement will be made IN DUE TIME. I agree with Mav', this is ridiculous.

It's also a common reaction when you don't actually have anything to say, or when you want to give an answer someone would like but you can't, or when you've got something caught in your throat, or when you're thinking, or when you're trying to establish a slower flow of conversation... or when you just want to say "no, people, get over it, I don't know why we have to keep answering questions about a project we never officially announced because some disgruntled ex-staff leaked concept work to the ravening public" - but instead you just pause.

Sometimes, when all the birds get quiet outside in the day it means that there's an earthquake or other natural disaster coming - but usually it just means it's about to rain. I'm not saying you're wrong; I am saying that you're stretching probabilities and grasping at straws because you want something to be true so badly that you're ignoring the most probable scenarios in favor of much more unlikely ones.

And also, all this could be is some dumbell who has nothing better to do than stare at a computer all day and all night, deciding to excite a few overanxious Battlefront lovers,
which it seems he has succeeded in doing so.
