I've been wondering is it possible to, use the block key (default: F) to create a melee attack for guns, I've seen in Mav's dark times mod he used the block key to create a melee attack but I'm not sure if it's possible with a gun.

Nope. There is no "block" key for gun users. The closest thing you can do is create a melee weapon with the gun's geometry as a secondary weapon.
