It's a mad world...
Mad World{for wii}
I was reading the Nintendo power article about, and if any else knows about it, how do think it'll turn out when it's released.
Here's some info about it:
Mad world is about a man named Jack, who is forced to compete in the new lethal game show, DEATH WATCH{This probably means he's in jail, and he must be really dangerous}. The goal in death watch is to kill as many enemys as possible in an level, with a BIG catch, and the heart of the show, you can't kill two enemys the same way. So that means you can't chain saw two people's heads off in one level. Instead, you are encouraged to kill enemys in funny ways. One example is that Jack can snap a guy's neck, then put him in oil can, then throw it at a group of enemys, then throw a lighted up match at the pile. You can guess the result. It's stuff like this that makes this game stand apart from other M rated games like GTA. Also, I was shock when I saw ingame shots. The game's graphics were just like okami's graphics, except in sin city stlye{don't worry, I'll try to find some pics to show the awsomeness}! From what I've read, this well probably be a really cool game. Its such a shame I'm not at the required age limit...So post your thoughts about this game. {note to staff: if you may find this topic too inappropriate, feel free to delete this topic. I'll understand.}

To be completely honest, it sounds like a sick game.
(and by "sick" I mean disgusting, not cool)

IMO, this is a very poor idea by Nintendo to try and appeal to the "older" crowd of the gaming community to purchase the Wii.

Manhunt II was just a terrible game in general. Everything was wrong about it.
Madworld looks interesting, and I'm excited about it. Not to buy it, but to see how it goes. The concept of the game is like totally wrong, but I love the stylized art work.

I'm all for wii games getting more "adult", but I'm not a fan of over the top gore. I think I'll wait for the Conduit.

When I read preview of the conduit, I was so excited!! Finally, a really awsome shooter for the wii!!! The develpers also said there game is heavily infulicned by bungie's mega hit game!!! So thats a big plus for this, and I really hope the game might turn out well.

I'm excited for hte Conduit, but save that discuss for a Conduit thread.
Back to mortality of gaming and Mad World. Besides me, and putting the back story and gameplay aside, who else likes the art style? I think they're great and add something interesting to the game. And it allows the models to have more polygons.

Re: It's a mad world...
I agree that the graphics look sweet... but come on. I have no problem with bloody games, but the Wii could get some gory games without having the entire theme be "How sick can I make this? Hm, shover the chainsaw through his leg, shove the leg down his throat, then rip it out of his stomach! That sounds fun!" Honestly, games centered around "Let's see how many ways we can murder someone!" make me sick... not to mention they're a waste of money and time...
And yes, I watched the trailer, read some reviews, and no... it doesn't change my opinion.

QFT. There's a limit to what people should be willing to take. So far Wii looks like it's avoiding the middle ground by jumping from Super Mario happyville to this junk and no more heroes. Try as I might, I can't like this.Blade wrote:I agree that the graphics look sweet... but come on. No More Heroes was a great game and is no where near the stupidity level of Mad World.

Oh. I never actually played it, it just looked like another mega-gore game from the box.Moving_Target wrote:No More Heroes was a great game and is no where near the stupidity level of Mad World.

Re: It's a mad world...
This just looks plain stupid. I watched the trailer, and the emphasis on blood and ways to kill people just makes me wonder What were they smoking? I know its not what Dann uses.
But this just looks retarted. There are classic gore horror movies, and theres the new stuff, where its just, "Ima go rip people in half while everyone watches". This is the latter.
