Whenever I put in my flash drive nowadays, it doesn't detect it. Is there a program that manages it? I remember getting rid of some programs that run at startup in msconfig (since my comp lags too much and I wanna get moving). One of them was something like E_S4I2H1.
Can someone help? I need my flash drive to backup my world and side folder.

RE: Flash Drive problem!
Did you try a different USB port? Does it work on other computers?

RE: Flash Drive problem!
It works on my laptop, so no problem there. I tried both ports, but neither work.

No, I never did that either.
It was working fine 2 days ago, but after getting rid of a few programs that would run at start up.
They were things like corel photoshop [my mom uses it for pics usually], WinCinema Manager [don't know what the heck it is...], Adobe Update Manager, and Windows Messenger [which I never use]).

Might be your USB ports. For some reason the two on the front of my computer don't work. They just wore out I guess. I used to have my USB headset plugged in 24/7, so that's probably why. I suppose if you use your USB ports too often, eventually they'll start to wear out. I'd suggest trying to plug it into the USB ports on the back of the computer. That's what I do when I need to use my USBs.
But it may also be one of those processes you ended. I'm no expert on pen drives/USB ports, so I'm not really sure what it takes for the computer to be able to read them.
By the way, that E_S4I2H1.exe process you ended, is an ESPON Status Monitor process which monitors your printer while printing. So that doesn't have anything to do with it.

USB ports shouldn't just ware out. Think back to when you first got the drive. Did you have to install anything to make it work or did you just plug it in and start using it?
It works on your laptop, so you know the drive is ok. The next step is to test the computer's ports. Do you have a USB mouse? Plug the mouse into the ports you used for the drive and see if the mouse works. If it doesn't work, then there is somethig wrong with the USB's cabling (assuming the ports are on the front of the case) or your USB hardware drivers. If the mouse works, then its a problem with the USB drive's drivers (you can download new ones) or you are mistaking a disabled auto-play for a failed drive (Penguin's questions).
