Skins/Jedis without new map?
So. I have tryed making skins and even a new jedi to battlefront II but everytime i have to make my own map with Zero Editor blaa blaa. But i were just wondering. Can i make skins and jedis without making a new map. Like overwrite those old skins somehow. You guys know what i mean. I readed the whole "BF2 Jedi Creation" file and did everything but in the end i would have to make whole new map.

RE: Skins/Jedis without new map?
Well, you COULD make a Side Mod.
Basicly you edit your side with whatever you want and don't change names on the files but instead just edit inside them.
After you've done that you munge the side and 'steal' that FactionSide3LetterName.LVL* from your new project and overwrite your game's FactionSide3LetterName.LVL*
In short that's enough - but of course there's more into it than that
you COULD just instead let it use a 'standard' map and then don't do ANYTHING to it but editing the side you want.
Usually it gives out a good presentation even if it's on a 'plain' map

In short, yes, that is correct. You need to make a new map (although it doesn't have to have anything on it, it can just be the flat default map) to create your own sides. However, you can use them on already-existing maps, as Qdin explained above.Tuamas wrote:I readed the whole "BF2 Jedi Creation" file and did everything but in the end i would have to make whole new map.

Of course there are more details in 'my suggestion' but it's kinda useless unless you decides what you want

Well. Thanks all
I dried to make that "Luke Skywalker in Imperial Trooper armor" to work as a new jedi.
