More trouble with detpacks

Post by wishihadaname »

Is there a way to make it so that the AI just doesn't use detpacks? I've tried varius trick to get my republic commandoes to stop commiting suicide every time they run across a mine node. I've tried the
TargetEnemy = "1"
TargetNeutral = "0"
TargetFriendly = "0"

lines, but it doesn't help.

I got the same problem when I tried to put Mine HintNodes in my map, engineers keep putting detpacks and activate them like typical noobs on JBA servers...

Wow, now this is funny: DarthD.U.C.K. provided a link to a post by MercuryNoodles, which is found in a topic by wishihadaname bringing forth the same detpack issue. MercuryNoodles' post has a link to a post by me with a possible solution to the problem, which wishihadaname has already tried according to the first post in this topic.

In conclusion, that solution only reduces the chances of the AI blowing themselves with detpacks but not by much. :P

I don't think there's an exact fix to this. The AI would sometimes place multiple mines on the same hint node consecutively so maybe that's what they're trying to do with the detpacks.
