Another "spacescape"

Land looks pretty weird, but it was my first attempts at it. =P

1st spacescape: Sphere Designer+Arbitery Rotation FTW!
Not exactly the best, but oh well. I would show my other one, but it's not as good, and imageshack won't upload it (it's 3072x3072 )

how did you do the starships?
how did you do the rings around the planet?
How did you make that atmospheric glow around the edge?
that is amazing... it completely blows mine away!

Make a cloud layer (Filter > Render> Clouds), then Filter > Render> Difference Clouds a couple of times.
Increase threshold, and delete the black parts
Add a gradient layer
Add a bump map
