Good Skinning Program?

Skinners, what's a good program for me to use to do skinning? It needs to be free, let me air brush stuff, and change the color saturation. Also, it needs to be easy to use. LOL Thanks!

there is a program called Adobe photoshop 7 that costs like a few hundred dollers,if u don't what to spend that then u can download a demo of it for 30 day's ,it is a very good program and there are brushes u can download for it as well.

Adobe Photoshop is on it's CS2 version (creative suite) basically version 9, which yes does cost a huge amount. I'm not sure if the 30 day trial will keep working if you install it numerous times. there are also many other programs that can edit tga's or convert them from other formats. Give http://www.download.com a look google is ok but you'll get masses and masses of results that'll be hard to find the one you want. I'm sure someone will instantly say one that you can use but I think that there'll be plenty about.

Adobe link and more info on Photoshop CS2 (v9) is available on http://www.adobe.com (as is the latest trial I think)

There are free paint programs, like the GIMP. Pixia looks like it can do quite a lot. Download.com is a good place to try because you can filter search results for free/shareware/paying software. Click on the advanced search link there.

This was top of the list of a Google search for "free paint program" :

when your time run's out re-download it

Can I just say, again, about limited time demos. They are LIMITED, the license is for you to try it out for the period specified to decide if you want to buy it. The usage license is to you personally, not a particular machine or o/s install you have. If you don't believe me, try asking Adobe's lawyers. I already had to delete one post from here, someone had a nasty cough (the type that has got people banned before now).

Any further posts in this thread should stick to what Desann asked for, ie free paint software.

If you find a Graphic software u like but it doesn´t support exporting tga files then use Irfanview to convert them!

Photoshop is the best but you will be spending big bucks to get that, you can always use this program http://perso.wanadoo.fr/pierre.g/xnview/enhome.html

and then convert images to .jpeg and edit them in paint

I use the GIMP and its as powerful or more powerful than photoshop! Try it out!

I've already used Paint to tweak textures, and I won't repeat the same experience anymore...

no your right paint suxs when it comes to editing but it will work, and photoshop costs big bucks!
