Mav changed the topic's title so that spoiler tags wouldn't be needed.

True, but I think he put them in because the spoiler is so massive.

Re: Clone Wars Season 5 (Spoilers inside - latest episode)
I'll write this without spoiler tag because of the title of the topic.
I was talking with a friend while we were watching the episode. It was awesome. Satine was a great character. When she died I was sad (my friend talked a lot and I'm spanish so it was difficult to me understand all words). I readed the book of these episodes because I couldn't wait to watch them, but in the series they explain a lot and you can feel more the things than in the book. Bo-Katan fighting... awesome... I really liked that part. Also Savage vs Sidious... When I readed this in the book, I expected an other destiny for Savage, like a alliance or something like that, but it was also great.
Did you watch the today's hangout of The Clone Wars? They were saying things about this episode and about the next episodes, and they show the preview!
I can't wait for the next episodes.

Re: Clone Wars Season 5 (Spoilers inside - latest episode)
Best episode this season, one of the best of the series. Lots of callouts - "I'm here to rescue you (multiple times)," "I feel a presence, a presence I haven't felt since..." The Mandalorian Wars mural at the end was especially nice.
Satine has been a character likely fated for death since the beginning of the series. It was a good way to send her out to use her as a contrast between Obi-Wan's reactions and Anakin's reactions when someone that close to them is hurt.
We knew from the season preview that Palpatine was headed to Mandalore, but it was exciting to see it happen. It's always a fun fight when you pit baddie against baddie, and this was no exception - my only gripe is one of the gripes I have with the final fight in Episode III: Lightsaber fights (as action sequences) work when the colors are starkly contrasted. When they're not, the action is a bit of a mess.

Yeah, that is nearly identical to what I said to my dad years ago when they introduced her. It was a really nice idea to show just how Anakin isn't as good of a Jedi as Obi-wan is. Still a shame to see her go despite it being good writing.Maveritchell wrote:Satine has been a character likely fated for death since the beginning of the series. Anyone notice the way obi wan said I'm so sorry to the dutchess's sister after she died was the same way he said it to padme in episode 3 when he found out he was hunting her lover?

I dunno what Sidious has planned for Maul, but I'd guess that Anakin and Ahsoka are somehow involved in it.

Re: Clone Wars Season 5 (Spoilers inside - latest episode)
I wouldn't doubt it, and what would make for a great season finale would involve Ashoka being killed trying to save obi wan from maul. However I doubt sidious would send maul after anakin because when sidious said you've been replaced I think he meant he had his sights set on corrupting anakin, and killing Ashoka might be a good place to start making this happen :vader2:EraOfDesann wrote:I dunno what Sidious has planned for Maul, but I'd guess that Anakin and Ahsoka are somehow involved in it.

Great episode, I really enjoyed the way regressed back to his "apprentice" ways as soon as Sidious arrived - even if he was being deceitful, there was still a hint of genuine fear and submission in his voice. I wish the duel at the end had been a bit longer, but it was still fun to watch. After all, it would be hard to top the duel between Maul and Vizsla.

Apparently if you want Ashoka to go all sorts of awesome just make her a fugitive on the run. I loved this episode.

I'll be interested to see where they go from here. I had to remind myself a couple times during this episode that yes, Ahsoka still had more to do in other stories (and this wasn't setting up her final arc), because I'd seen it in the previews.

For me, the best episode of the series. The final scene was awesome, the animations were very realistic, and the cast made a great work with Ahsoka and Anakin. I loved the persecution.

I hope Ahosoka dies, I never liked her. I also wonder if they will have maul kill her or something.

Re: Clone Wars Season 5 (Spoilers inside - latest episode)
She kind-of annoyed me at first, but as she grew up I began to like her more. I think during the "blue-shadow-whatever" virus arc I got over my disike. It figures now that I actually like her as a character they're probably going to kill her off. The same thing happened to me with Echo.

Exactly. I really like her character now, whereas early on (especially in the feature film) her personality was way overdone.

Re: Clone Wars Season 5 (Spoilers inside - latest episode)
Ahsoka reflects the rising level of maturity that the series has achieved throughout its progression, which I believe is why opinions about her have grown more favorable.
Anyway, I hope the culprit isn't as obvious as they're making it out to be.

The culprit for what, and who is it obviously?
