Bouncing in lighting?

Post by Marth8880 »

Hey, so I was looking for any information I could find about sunlight in the shipped version of Mos Eisley in Zero Editor, and I noticed that there was, adjacent to the sunlight's directional light, another directional light called "bouncing." It was, like I said, adjacent to the sunlight's light and angled about the same, except it was directed the opposite way.

What is bouncing?

"Bouncing" is just a name. That light was used to give directional lighting from the angle it was positioned at, and that's it.

But what natural effect does it have? Is it so the shadows from the sunlight aren't too dark?

D'oh! Of course! It gives the effect of sunlight bouncing off the ground, as the name clearly implies. :P My mistake (although it doesn't really look like reflected/bounced light, in my opinion).
