Force weapon questions and teleport questions

Post by vampire_lord »

This is quite simple to put, I want to make a different force choke, actually no choking, just hold them in place, maybe a combo file would make possible for the "hold" state to either push or pull, but the most important thing, is it possible to assign the "falling" animation to the target instead of choking without replacing the choking animation?

And the second question, is it possible to make Force Crush to target vehicles? it would need to stop vehicle's movement and slowly choking it, force choke already works with buildings and turrets, so I wonder if that's possible, same with push or pull to make a "true" Yoda style.

As for teleport questions, I have seen a few space maps moving players between ships, but the main question is... can you set up a teleporter for vehicles? I mean, piloting into a teleport and, you know, hyperspace?

I never tried teleporting vehicles, but I don't see why you couldn't do it. You would just teleport the vehicle entity instead of the player's unit.

For the choke questions, look in the FAQ thread, at ODF Tips & Tricks. Dann_Boeing there posted a rather amusing Force Dance trick, which you may be able to edit to give a different animation to the choked unit. Then damage can be changed via ODF lines.
