Most movie accurate maps?
I'm a huge fan of maps that look and feel like the SW films. I've only found a couple of these types of maps (Coruscant: City and Streets, Palpatines Office, Mos Eisley Spaceport) and I would like to know if there are some you guys reccomend! Oh and if there are maps modeled after the recent CW show then you can tell me about those as well!

This is the most movie accurate map you'll find.
I don't know of other maps that come even close to this one.

That Palpatine's Office map is pretty close to the movies, too.

There aren't really many 'movie accurate' maps. The original movie settings don't make for the greatest gameplay, IMO.

This more than anything. My map is too small, Rends' map is too big, and Rep had to take several liberties to make his map work. Intimate movie scenes make for sets that don't fit enough people for Battlefront's gameplay to "work." Koolaid7G's map is probably the closest to maintaining a good balance of proportion and gameplay, and it's no surprise - it's based on a scene that had (collective) units fighting each other (as opposed to individuals or small groups). Star Wars (the movies) is a pretty character-focused story, and so it doesn't have a lot of scenes that fit in that sweet spot between too small (character-on-character scenes) and too large (army vs. army scenes). You'll likely find better opportunities for "series-accurate" settings if you look at things based on TV shows, because they can afford to broaden the scope from small groups to medium-sized ensemble casts.Teancum wrote:There aren't really many 'movie accurate' maps. Well I see your guys' point. Although I would say that it is possible. Just look at the Geonosis: Spire map. That is my most favorite map in the entire SWBF series. (I also like episode II more than most people)Maveritchell wrote:This more than anything. My map is too small, Rends' map is too big, and Rep had to take several liberties to make his map work. There are so many mod maps for SWBFII it's hard to find the really good ones. I'm beginning to explore more and later today I'm going to try the Capital Down maps.
I've seen video's of the Naboo: Hanger map and I probably wouldn't keep that in my addon folder because it is a bridge map with no way to change up the gameplay.
Let me ask you guys this, what maps are so good that they seem like they should belong in SWBFII? (note, for SWBFI I hold all of Rends maps to this standard along with a few others)

One of my favorite maps is AQT's Bespin sides mod. I'm not sure exactly what it's called, but it's the converted Bespin City map with his sides.
