Hey all,
I would like to know am I allowed to edit or change the beginning images for a custom shell.lvl? For example the pandemic or lucas arts logo? Is that allowed. I mean they gave us the chance to edit them or they would not be in assets. I don`t know where I can ask so I asked here.
Is that allowed?

While it's probably *allowed*, it would be rather rude to the developers to essentially remove their names from the game. It would be like removing the Pixar title animation that plays before every Pixar movie.

That doesn't make it any less rude to the developers. It's like going into someone's map whose loadscreen contains the author's name or dev team logo and changing it to your own (or another) name or logo. It's disrespectful and rude. However, if you want to *add* some name or logo to one of the textures, *that* should be fine. Just don't completely remove it.Kingpin wrote:It was done on HvB3.

I never said it was polite, I just said it was done beforeMarth8880 wrote:That doesn't make it any less rude to the developers. Why can't he just put his own logo on the same slide as one of the other ones? He didn't say he would remove it.

"Change" implies "replace," but I think we should just wait for a reply from him before making further judgment.thelegend wrote:I would like to know am I allowed to edit or change the beginning images for a custom shell.lvl?

Re: Is that allowed?
Ah ok. I just would like to move one logo to an other. For example the dolby and the lucas arts logo in one slide to make space for my own texture. So you can see that the mod is installed and the developers logo (pandemic) and also the other logos. Or I should add something to an existing one. I only would like to know if that is ok and there won't be any problems.
Edit: Ok. I decided to let them unchanged. I just edited the background images but the logos are not changed. I think thats unnececery to edit it and a kind of rude. Anyway (I often say `anyway`-lol) thanks for replying to my question.
