Re: Novice Question
There are tons of docs about how to add a vehicle to your map, just go look for it.
As for editing the properties, you edit ODF files with notepad.

Re: Novice Question
By the way they look, he means the skin or textures. For msh and model, use XSI.

Re: Novice Question
If you want to modify the actual shape, because Gimp only does the color and stuff, you have to buy a special version of XSI that can convert it back into its msh format.

Re: Novice Question
Or you could ask someone here who has the version to convert for you after you've done your model.

Re: Novice Question
ODF - Controls what object (in this case an A-Wing) does, weapons, damage, speed, etc - Opens with notepad
TGA - Skin, it's what makes it have the colors and emblems and such like that, surface detail - Opens with image editing programs, don't use paint though.
MSH - Model, defines, and controls 3 dimensional shape, and form - Editable with Softimage XSI Modtools (A free modeling program) Someone else must put it back ingame for you however.
