Too many objects? [Solved]
Has anyone crashed a map to the point that it freezes while loading by having too many objects? Ironically, this is the same problem that Saleucami and Anor City had, but I remember deleting almost everything from Saleucami still didn't repair it.
Now the new Saleucami is suffering from this very same problem.

GLORY! Removed a ton of extra plants and crap from areas you wouldn't really pay attention to.
Works perfectly.
But that's not all! Now I've learned how to reverse this critical crash! This means that by removing extra trees from Anor City, I can resurrect it and finish it =)

RE: Too many objects?
Yeah I made a map with about 2,000 rock props and who knows what else, and it crashed, the only way I seemed to get it working was deleting about 50% of the props and it worked...
I don't know if that's exactly why it did that but that's my penny.....

Congratulations on the succes, Captain_Mazda !...
I will follow in Ipodzanyman's footsteps and write about this... When I was working on the project titled Clone Wars : Hoth, I faced this problem. The Level included about one thousand ''hoth_prop_dust.msh'' objects ( Note : It was about Three hundred units on the Battlefield... ). You could play the map for about three minutes, then it crashed thanks to the lag...

RE: Too many objects?
Hmm, do you know if this would cause the game to crash when you looked at a portion of a level that had too many objects?

Sorry to say this, Bac-Talan, but I cannot understand the word ''portion''. As you can see on my Location, I come from Sweden... You may know this, but if you don't, I can tell you this : English is not my Native Language...

Hmm, you mean losing frames in ZE when looking at a large contingency of objects from a far camera? Because to tell you the truth, I don't get that.Bac-Talan wrote:Hmm, do you know if this would cause the game to crash when you looked at a portion of a level that had too many objects?

Basically, there's a part of my map, near the corner, with lots of objects. When you spawn in game, at one of the CP's, you are facing away from that half of the map. When you turn to look at that, the game crashes. Could this be caused by too many objects in that area?
And Linus, portion means pretty much the same thing as part or fraction. A portion of a pie would be the same as a part of the pie. Hope that helps.
