Those models are great, but I think the ryyk blade is alitte overlarge.

VERY nice models! I was thinking of an helmet and a sort of cape... If you're interested, please let me know... I also would like to ask you if i can make it complete, including anims and weapons, please? :angel:

Thanks, all. And yes, Caleb, I agree that the Ryyk Blade looks a little big. The picture above has the model scaled down to 90%. I'm going to try turning it down to 75%

And I'm definitely interested, MandeRek. The helmet and cape would be great. And new animations would be great! But I'm not sure what new weapon you would use. Maybe you could give me a little more info on what you're thinking? PM me if you prefer.

Sweet! I was actually debating whether to do the plain Ryyk Blade or the Kerathorr Ryyk Blade. In the end, it just seemed a lot simpler to get the plain Ryyk working. I'm definitely interested in using whatever you come up with. Just one request (which you may already be planning): I'd love to see your Merumeru with TWO Kerathorr Blades:

I'm sorry, but why should i give him 1 blade... He desirves 2... I'm just modifying the wookie mesh, and adding some stuff here and there. The anims... I'll make them as sweet as i can... But i'm first working on the mesh now... So what would you make him? Commander? Special? Hero? Just Addedunitclass?

LOL. Yes, he does deserve 2 blades. And how about another new secondary weapon? I've been thinking that a proper Wookiee should be able to pick up and strangle or tear apart whatever gets in his way. Like something along the lines of the Rancor assets.

And I'm thinking your unit will be an added class. So he'll need a new name. If he doesn't have any ranged weapons, maybe he should be the Berzerker Wookie? Or if you gave him a flame thrower he could be a Dragon Trooper (you can look it up on Wookieepedia).

I'll just give him a flamethrower, and the Swords as second primary weapon. This means he can't get seconday weapons, but i think he doesn't need it. I've created a Grappledroid lately, but maybe i can change the msh so it it a Wookie which smashes and slams. If you need that just say so. I''ll start working on the Wookie msh (for the Dragon Trooper) a bit later if you don't mind...

Wow!!! Is this a map, or an assets pack??? I've been waiting for something like this to be made for a long time. Just think I was about to leave modding for SWBF2, I think I am inspired :D!!! Thanks Rocket, You have made a friend of me for LIFE (LOL)!!!

I have an idea though, one thing I would like to see would be a genaric Wookie Chieftain, with the Wookie War helmet. Just a neat Idea :)...

Thanks, Darth Elmo. Nice of you to say. And this will be an assets pack for other modders to use as they see fit. But I'll also be using it in a Kashyyyk map. And I believe MandeRek is trying to help me with your helmet suggestion (among other things).

But MandeRek, why do you think your unit won't be able to have secondary weapons? Or is it that you're saying he can't have both primary and secondary melee weapons in addition to a ranged weapon?

Yes, I´ll give my wookie the war helmet... Next thing:


Mav' explained to me that having a melee and gun weapon on 1 unit is possible, but that it will mess up if it has secondary weapons, and also the melee must be in the second slot... So he'll have a Flamethrower and Blade I hope this is correct for you... I've started working on the model but progress is quete slow... He'll have:


War helmet
Kind of Kama
Some new armor
(and the wookiee dreads which are in the assets)

The weapon... It's the first weap i'm doing...So'll these will take a while. If you could do them ROCKET that's ok with me as well, doesn't matter to me much...

No, the secondary weapons are possible. My units call out their primary ranged weapons, a secondary weapon (all throwable), and then a melee weapon as an alternate primary. The only trick was calling out the secondary before the melee in the unit ODF. The thing that might not be possible is to call out a secondary weapon which also uses a combo file. I'll have to play around with that.

So, you plan on a helmet and dreads? I hope you can, but it might be tricky to make the helmet shape look right without the dreads interferring.

And yes, I could certainly do the weapons if you want. The Kerathorr would be easy. For the flamethrower, I'd just need a good picture of what you want.

I won't release this, I'll make it only for you, so you can decide what to use... Maybe you could use your rocket launcher as reference, and just make a rifle which is a look a like. For the helmet and dreads, you might have a point... I'll check on that. Otherwise, i'll just leave the dreads out

Manderek, how did you manage to get mre than 1 addon mesh onto your model, mine never works when adding more than one, is there a special thing to call in the odf?

Wazmol, I've got EXACTLY the same question as you... I've tried a lot but it won't work, though Caleb says it's possible... Maybe we have to do something in the .msh.option of the unit we want the addons to have, but i don't know for sure... For this wookiee I'm making, I'm just doing him in XSI as new msh, so no addons except for the dreads-assets

I'm still working on the size/placement and adding the second blade, but I have a start on the Kerarthorr Blade.

Yup. Christmas was great. Hope yours was too. And I finally got a Wookiee holding a second blade. Just had to attach to bones since he doesn't have a left-hand hard point.

So, are you having any luck with (or time for) your new Wookiee mesh? I was wondering if you'd be interested in another project. I think it would be great to have a Trandoshan character for the opposing team. I've seen a few made as re-skinned rebel pilots, but I think a unique mesh (at least for the head) would be much better. And I already have a Stouker Concussion Rifle model made. Any interest?
