i made the model before SWBF2 was even out and it was the first animated model i actually got working for the game. i never showed it cause i thought the textures were horrible and they needed to be redone. i started on making a new texture but its still pretty early. there isnt much reference out there for these kotor ships but im posting mostly for feedback so here it is...

let me know what i should do to get it as accurate as possible and after this thing ill start texturing my ebon hawk that is also a pretty old model.

Mini, that is truly awesome. I'd say everything is perfect, except for the cockpit would should be a bit more round :wink: Great work!

its far from done, there isnt very much detail on it at all, gotta do the engines and also the arms of the wings, and go google this thing, the cockpit isnt round where the pilot sits.

The model looks great. Texture looks sharp and neat, but I dislike the cockpit window. Maybe change it to a gradient((black to gray/silver)) instead of plain black?

yeah i always just start out with plain black as a stand in then i add like a glare in the center or whatever looks best, ill probably just change the name of this thread and put all my kotor models in here since i have a handful of them. but as i said before, the texture is far from done, right now its just the base metal texture with some paneling added to it, i havnt done all the paneling, engines and also the dirt that makes it look more real.

Nice model! Is this for the Gogie's starforge?

I actually kind of preferred the plain black cockpit, that reflection texture looks a little blocky.

the cockpit will look better in game since the game has the tendency to kinda blur textures in a way. about the shine for the ship, that is done in game and all the times i used flags for texture effects it always put stress on the game, besides id rather keep it matte since it looks more real from being dirty out in space, i hate shine on space craft, it doesnt look right.

i can make a fighter model in about an hour, i never released this because i couldnt get an engine glow effect that matches the funny shape of the thrusters.

Yeah, making a model is probably the easiest in the world of 3D xD

DarthD.U.C.K you DO aware that you bumped an old topic, right? And i twas even unnecessary to do so. Please don't do that in the future, okay?

Mini' is it just me or do you have too much contrast in the texture? :? It doesn't look that natural to me.

And maybe look at the corners of the picture, which SymbolS posted before:
In the 'pointy'/front of the wings, you have the 'pattern' (so to say) filling out entirely on the wing. In that little picture, you'll notice that the shape of the wings which is pointing outwards a little isn't actually filling out everything on the wings.

Do you want me to critisize as you usually do or stay like this the next time...? :wink: :roll: :twisted:
