Hex-editing cloth problem [Not solved]

Post by Fiodis »

I tried to hex Anakin's cloak onto the stock Jedi model and got a CTD. I didn't add the c_meshes, but those shouldn't cause a CTD if they're missing - just a distortion of the cloth. All I wanted to do was to see if the cloth would show up, then worry about c_meshes. Still, the CTD. What could be wrong? I'm fairly sure I hexed it in correctly. Should I do something special when I reference it in my odf?

whe i hex edited anakin no CTD, only ingame the mode shoulder appear bad and also changed envelope of ribcage i believed xD surely you hex edited wrong, try again and try put c_ in same place than original, for example if in stock model appear after x MODL so into new model try make the same :)

Ah, fixed! :D

Turns out there was nothing wrong with my hex-editing. The cloth's odf, though, I didn't edit to reflect a change of name for the main msh, so it crashed.

Solved.

I spoke too soon. In-game, it looks fine on my unit's model, but on AI, it's very transparent. Why is that? The cape doesn't have an alpha layer. The unit does, but why then would the cape be transparent? And why only on AI?
