Why is Night time so hard to reproduce?
I can't seem to find a good night effect. Meaning, I can't seem to reproduce the feeling of "night" everything is so "bright" even with trying to alter the lighting in the level. Anyone have any success with this? I've tried to add fog and such, but nothing really seems to cut it. I want a level that looks like your looking out your window at night, kinda hard to see detail but can still make out shapes.. Maybe I'm asking to much from the tools?

Well my Agamar map was a night one. Maybe re-skinning everything to be darker would do the trick.

It's not the auctual colors of the map I'm refering to. It's the fact that you can see so far. Adjusting the near and far ranges seem to only produce a completely black, non transparent effect, I want a darking transparent effect in the map. Idk maybe I'm not making much sence.

I kind of understand what you are saying... like at night, the reson that you can't see much is not because everything is necessarily blurry, it's that everything is very confused, and there is very little contrast?

Well you could just modify the .tga for the sky to have a bunch of trees there like on Endor...

I know that this was possible in JA, not sure about the Zero engine, but try giving whatever lights you have a slight negative value.
