I take no credit for the ARC Rifle, it is a JA conversion I believe done for me by the one and only L-5-R.
I need some help however. To make this mod out shine my last one.
I need someone who knows how to open the standard maps completely and even make alterations to the current maps that shipped.
What I want to do is open say... Utapau, change it's addme/LUA and remunge, then overwrite the old maps with my new edited one which foreinstance, calls a new clone type rep_uta_trooper.odf basically, I am wanting to make each map call the propper legions and such, but to correctly alter the LUA's and addme's I need to open the shipped worlds, and remunge the project, then overwrite the defualt maps as I am currently overwriting the default sides.
If that works I intend to even overwrite the default localizations and make my mod not only a expo, but a complete conversion to more accurate shipped maps. This would also allow for people to simply make maps without side editting so that my mod takes over for them
This mod goes hand in hand with OGEB's CW: RM as a lot of the units in this expo are tests for his realism mod.
As to droidekas, I love em too my friend, and they did nerf them overmuch in SWBF1-2, but in the movies droidekas are powerfull enough to hold jedi in stalemates. In Phantom Menace the only reason you see droidekas getting killed by gungans is because of the Buma's the gungans use... you saw them, like natural EMPs.
My droideka absorbs damage normally untill it's shield is depleated, when it's shield is depleated it doesn't deactivate due to my
addshield = 100
so basically every second it's gaining 100 sp a second, so once you drain down it's shield, and weapon capable of doing over 100 points of damage pierces the shield to damage the droid behind the shield. Basically vehicle weapons and rockets are your best bet... rifles and pistols are only usefull to bring the shield to managable weakness, a few grenades or rockets can and will make quick work of the droideka. Lightsabres also cut through it like jello just like you see in EP3 RotS: The Game.
Add this overly powered droideka to the rediculously dangerous Magna guards and the CIS seem unstopable, however the weakness in all thier B-1 droid units counter balances it, and in the maps that will include SBDs the SBD slowness will also keep things balanced.
Balance comes after I make the units propperly accurate. I am not going for UBER accuracy on this expo, but I like my units semi-accurate.
