I'd seriously doubt that. You have no idea how CPU intensive DMM and Euphoria are. Put that in hugemungous worlds with 50-100 units in-play and you've got slowdown city. Havok is doable as it's been around long enough to be really optimized.Fluffy_the_ic wrote:I'd imagine that LA would use DMM, Euphoria, and Havok

Re: Battlefront III News
FINALLY! I've been waiting for this for years. I consider it confirmed (I seriously doubt it won't happen now).
Now to wait for the official trailer!
Things that I thought were amazing:
1) Leaving the Jedi Temple then fighting in space? Awesome!
2) Customization? Maybe? Who knows, but the units looked great.
3) Bespin!
4) DS2?
5) More Vehicles? Sweet!
6) Hoth hangar?
7) Even more capital ships and bigger interiors? GREAT!
I can't wait. I may get this for Wii AND PC!
The only problem is is that my system is getting old- I don't know if I'll be able to run SWBF3. If only I had more memory!
I say a few weeks and LA annouces it. Hopefully.
I also predict a November release date.

Oh yeah, Forgot that BF3 is likely to have 2x as much visible AI at a time than TFU (on average) as well as many more things. Still don't understand a lack of Havok, You'd think itd be evident if they had it in the vid

I really hope this video doesn't pull a BFII Trailer on us.
Anyways, did anyone notice the fact that the Acclamator had more than three rooms?

Seeing the video, I wonder if they got ideas from the modding community. And also, I think I saw Slave 1 in the vid.

It looked more like Naboo to me, but they did have old Ben Kenobi in Mos Eisley.Grev wrote:I couldn't recognize a few of the cutscene fights, but I'm assuming they are bringing some non cannon Ideas and maps into this game, which will be a great change. Also, Jar Jar on tatooine?

Re: Battlefront III News
It looks like they've improved space a freaking TON compared to everything else.
But all in all everything looks so much more..... polished than it was in Battlefront 2.
Cutscenes look much more professional, gameplay is smoother, visuals are much more clean looking (although partly because of next-gen)
I am definitely hyped for this game, I can't wait.
And I'm a bit confused at the above posts, is this game using ZeroEngine, or a Free Radical proprietary engine?

If it's not Zero, then Free Radical and Rebellion sure have done a good job impersonating it. I hope its zero, though. It'll be easier to make mods so that our high expectations may be fulfilled when the tools come out.

Definitely. I think Maris has those lightsbaers with perpendicular handles. Also, I lol'd at the groin shot the Ewok made at the stormie. Now that must've hurt.Grev wrote:Mariss Brood 2:19

It's not Zero, I 100% guarantee that. The Zero engine is owned by Pandemic.Fluffy_the_ic wrote:If it's not Zero, then Free Radical and Rebellion sure have done a good job impersonating it. This isn't about battlefront 3, but yes, the same game series, and it has been officially anounced. Some game called Star Wars Battlefront Mobile Squadrens Here's an article I found.
Aparently it's just for the phone?!?

Looking at the .exe for LOTR:C, it mentions Havok, for example:Teancum wrote:Havok is doable as it's been around long enough to be really optimized.
