What?!? Dangit, I'm so mad at my friend for getting the Wii version... That boy was our last hope. In my area, at least.

Re: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
That'll never happen, unless they port the PS2 or Wii version over. To have to rewrite the Ronin Engine AND make sure Havok/Euphoria/DMM all interact the way they did on the 360/PS3 would mean mega time and money. Plus the fact that it's not open ended or multiplayer (except for the Wii) means not many folks will buy it for PC.
Plus, the PC is a dying gaming market. Only online multiplayer games sell well anymore.

I'm also guessing that if the 360/PS3 one was ported to the PC, it would take up the same amount of RAM that Halo 3 does.
How much? About one terabyte. Wanna pay for that computer?

Re: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
Yep -- the 360 only has 512mb of RAM, but that RAM is GDDR3, which is highly specialized and would be the very rough equivalent to about 4gb DDR2 (FAST, top of the line DDR2) or ~1.5gb of fast DDR3.
What folks fail to realize is that even when a console's specifications don't look that impressive that they need to remember that everything is 100% specialized to do one job - run the games and the dashboard of that console. No true operating system, just a series of programs. The newer consoles have a pseudo-OS, but it's still not the same in terms of comparing it to Windows. For example -- look at what Halo 2 Xbox runs on. A 700mhz Pentium III with 64mb of SHARED (between the processor and graphics) RAM. But look at what Halo PC runs on. Microsoft® Windows® Vista™ (not really a true requirement as the game runs fine on XP, but doesn't take advantage of DirectX 10 stuff), 2 GHz or faster processor, 1 GB of system RAM, 7 GB available hard disk space, NVIDIA 6100, ATI X700, or above. Now on the PC it's a little bit prettier, but not much. Huge difference in specs --> 700mhz goes up to 2 ghz, 64mb SHARED RAM jumps to 1gb RAM just for the processor alone, etc.
Bottom line is that you're not going to see Force Unleashed on PC.

the same is about metal gear solid 1 and 2, once istalled the mgs2 folder takes about 8gb on the hard disk and mgs1 about 1gb (not much but if you remember how old the game is and how bad the graphic is)

For anyone w/ the Wii version, found out you can use the y-axis. Move the nunchuk up while force gripping.

Rented it for Wii last night, and I've been playing Duel with my Dad all morning. Sweet game.

Oh I remember now... One terabyte is a bit of an exaggeration, but ya, next-gen console stuff are monsters on PCs. Lower graphic quality with fast duo cores and whatnot.

Honestly, the graphics on the wii are so much of a letdown at some points it looked cartoon-ish.

Re: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
Yeah... really the only thing I hated horribly (besides the lack off Euphoria and DMM) was the character models, especially the eyes and facial expressions (or lack there of).
