I'm working on making a few tweaks to improve (in my eyes) some of the shipped weapons. I may (or may not, depends on how good the turn out and the answer to this question) release them, but for now I have a problem. Whenever I export them (mshex be praised) and get them ingame, the texture is mucho más cojo for those of you who care to look that up. Is there anything I need to do such as freezing the transforms texture edition to fix this?

Can't help you, but had a similar problem.. I modified a model made in Maya, also the UVs; in XSI it was great, ingame it was COMPLETELY messy.. So.. same question i guess..

Please help? I'd really like to get this resolved. I froze all the transforms and followed the skinning tut in the XSI links thread, but still this. :cry:

I had this once... I made a mask addon mesh, and it was all fine and dandy, sent it to my exporter, still dandy, and once ingame, the UV was completely different.

If you're using mshex, make sure you also freeze the model (look in the lower right hand corner where it says FREEZE)

Now as for another problem, one time I opened the stormtrooper luke in 3doc, and just below the abs, the uvs looked different than they did ingame. I'm not sure what was going on.

In modtool view, the button in the bottom left that says objects under freeze? because I tried that to no avail. sadness.

Turn your view mode from the "modtool" layout to the xsi pro layout, it should be in the bottom right then. But if that's the same button then I guess it doesn't matter. Also try exporting as an obj, then importing that again into a new scene.
