normal speeds and max speeds (accelerated speed w/o boost) are considerbly lower so they make up for it. Just hang on to your seat when you activate the boost.

Thats good to hear XWing i was worried it would just be crazy fast stuff flying everywhere... And Darth Killius, i'm in no position to answer but i'd say the handling is fine if he just left it normal.

In the .odf numbers, what exactly is the speed of the awing? (if you don't have time to respond, i understand)

I wanted to bring back the topic of removing bombers and making critical components weaker. :dstar: Copy this address and paste it in the Adress Box thingy. It proves that the Y-wing is NOT a bomber :wink:

I converted them from km/hr from the wiki

I really don't know what to do about the ywing...they need a bomber or the whole thing will go out of whack...weakening the critical systems may just worsen the problem. I mean I've got the ship's hull and the frigates to worry about too.

Weaken the hull and frigates and everything else too. It will make the battle more exciting :amidala:

This would mean that things that are not supposed to happen wil happen:
Interceptors could destroy Crits and Caps, this means that there's less flak, and interceptors get even more powerful.

No way. If you want a different type of space map, make one. But don't "annoy" Xwingguy with your suggestions.

Thank you for your extremly fast reply, I didn't know that, but I believe I stated myself incorrectly, I meant to ask, what are the numbers in the .odf (as in, 100, 200, 300.... for example by default, the sniper travels at 2000..., I wanted to know the numbers, not what they mean...)

About the Y-wing thing, theres a semi easy fix. Just copy the Y-wings odf files, rename them, and give the copied Y-wing torpes rather bombs. To even it you could also do that for the TIE-bomber.

In short, make a proton tropedo Y-wing to go with the bomber one. That was also my idea for the TIE-defender and the ioncanon-or-missiles decision.

with that speed idea for the fighters i hope that it wont be so fast that if you want to bomb the sensor array you drop your bombs and you end up against the bridge XD
that proton torpedo thing is very good to compromise this so it would be a good idea.

rebels customized all their ships for whatever mission they were going on. many times that was a bomber mission, so they modified their Y-Wings.
This reputation for being tough, as well as its ground-hugging attack bomber mission profiles, have caused faster fighter pilots to nickname the Y-wing a "wallowing pig."

If u look at the movie, it doesn't take a thousand bombs dropped on the same target to destory the critical systems. :roll: . Afterall, it only took one flaming A-wing crashing into the super stardestoyer bridge to cause the entire thing to go out of control and plow into the Deathstar :dstar: . Keep in mind this is a fast-paced battle. :wink:
PS: this file will probably be pretty big. so u will want to clear out a few other mod maps (but its well worth it)

If you weakened the critical systems then the ships would be destroyed to quickly.

Well, that the SSD's Bridge sheilds were knocked out when that A-wing crashed into it...

hey x-wingguy, are the Bridge sheilds seperate from the 'body' sheilds? (they were in the movie) Maybe the destroying the bridge could knock the whole ship out. (keeping in mind that each bridge would have its own shields)
Probally to late for a suggestion like that, oh well (unless you already did mod something like that in your map)

It would be cool to have it so that if the shield generators on top of the bridge were destroyed, the shields would automatically go down.
