XSI 4.2 model import problem

Post by fiddler_on_the_roof »

I have the demo of xsi 4.2, and am trying to envelope a character, but i can't import phsyco fred's skeleton model, it says it can't import due to needing something a level higher in xsi. i tried importing it into xsi 6, then exporting to dotXSI, but when i imported to 4.2, the bones were huge.

do i have to just download xsi 5 and use that, or is there something else?

thanks

the bones just look weird because XSI interprets them as nulls after you imported them, thats no problem, the model will work just as if they were bones.
about the UV problem: make shure you froze EVERYTHING (modeling, transforms and history) before enveloping AND exporting the model!
i dont know how to make the nulls bones gaian, but im shure you will find soemthing in the xsibase forunms or in the xsi documentation/help

the easyest way would be using the XSI 5 trial though
