Well, like a mortar launcher that shoots drops of water, which explode on impact, and water splashes everywhere. Or an acid gun, which burns the terrain, and anyone who steps on the acid ground loses health.

That acid spray sounds interesting. Perhaps you could dispense an autoturret with an acid-ish mesh and a Neuropoison weapon?

Yes, mentioned by me on the first page and its been repeated a few times (like most of the ideas). It is simply on-hit SetObjectTeam(<unit>, <team #>). Theres no reason for it to be a different team number each time it is used. Just set team 0 to be an enemy of everyone and use that.

It's a SetObject function so it works directly on any ingame object. It doesn't touch the ODF. When the unit dies, he will go back to being on whatever team he was on before.

Oh, that's really useful; in that case all those team-switch weapons can work.

solar pistol, what it does is it shoots a normal laser, but it then when it hits it turns into a ball of fire, and the unit get burned like a flamethrower for a set amount of time, tthe laser does the most damage and the fire ball does like a fourth of the damage the laser did over time, i had this idea for months, but i had no idea how to deliver it...

Maybe a revamped Orbital Strike, like Mav's poison grenades except shot from a launcher at pistol-bolt speed with a streak trail. Wouldn't look exactly like how you envision it, but it could work.

how about a beam cannon shotgun.
it shoots 8 (I think?) beams from a shotgun.
I would do major damage to small groups of enemies

Moderators: I know this part of this thread should go into the Mod/Map Idea Thread and the Unconventional Unit thread,
but 30 days passed since the last post on the unit thread and I might as well just put it in one post. So please don't delete this!


Here is the Unconventional Weapons Part: :yes:
A 2x sized chaingun with infinite ammo that never overheats that shoots...
  • mini homing rockets (like the default CIS gunship ones) (5 per second)
  • the AT-AT's secondary weapon (the super strong dual lasers) except they shoot like chaingun rounds
  • beam cannon lasers (yes i love beam cannons)
  • continuous fully charged imperial rocket launcher rockets
  • all grenades (thermal, concussion, emp, radiation, mortar, etc.)
  • mines (really far so you dont kill yourself)
  • time bombs + seismic charges
  • it would also be awesome if they shot lightsabers but oh well
And any more i can think of...

Here is the Unconventional Unit Part: :yes:
this dude should be twice the size of Sky's (I think) Phase 3 Dark Trooper.
He should move a step per 3 seconds but have a jetpack 50 times stronger than a dark troopers jetpack. This jetpack should shoot this unit into the air at a 45 degree angle and last forever. It would eventually come down since that’s what dark troopers jump packs do but should recharge in three seconds. should be able to propel this guy about 5 AT-AT lengths. Super heavy armor. 2 CHAINGUNS on EACH HAND!!! one underhand, another overhand, on both hands! These chainguns will shoot what is listed above.

Here is the Map Part: :yes:
A field of snow/ice, mainly flat with mountain ranges on the boundary. Only one unit on each side a person can choose from. And Im talking about the unit spoken about, above. Totally different skin so you can recognize. Infinite AI allowed in game. About 50 supersize + superfast AT-ATs, 50 supersize + superfast AT-TEs, 50 supersize + superfast UT-ATs, 50s of other supersize + superfast heavy assault walkers on each side!!! the heavy walkers should spawn infinitely. And they would actually be destroyed in a few seconds since the chaingun weapon is so strong.

Just so everyone knows, this doesn't work. (At least the way I tried it) It seems that beams don't "spread" and therefore come out with the exact same direction and speed, defeating the purpose of a shotgun. Just so no one else wastes as much time as I did on it.

I actually made one successfully for my 125th side mod, but this was in the version that did not get released. It does work, I just don't have access to any of the files anymore otherwise I'd share it.

This is actually possible, with the large push radius. Completely by accident one of my attempts at creating an orbital strike grenade ended up floating around for awhile until someone hit it, and instead of acting like a beacon it exploded. It pushed everyone back, but killed them as well. Removing the damage would fix that.


Has anyone successfully recreated a bacta gun? When you spray it it heals anyone hit?
