I've seen a couple of weird ranks.
Such as obiboba3po's rank - "2008 Most Technically Challenging Avatar".
I've seen a couple other weird ones - what is the deal on unique ranks?

its from the 08 holiday avatar contest. win (or rank) in contests or donate to get a ranking different from others. im sure thats explained in here somewhere
edit: if you searched you would not have found the results from any contest, it appears they've been removed?

We had an avatar contest a while back, and the winners got customized ranks. You can also get a custom rank by helping Gametoast run its server bills.

Or you could be me, and somehow wake up one day as a space ranger....whatever that means anyways.

If you donate $5 or more at anytime you get a special rank title, sometimes I pick them sometimes you can choose your own, its all up to the force! Alot of people get all kinds of ranks if they do things like, help people out, spam people or get banned. have a great day!

Sending guru several message like "lulz how cn u bcome jawa admn pl0x i wnt 2b2 ty" would indeed eventually reward you with a costum rank.
It's the easiest and cheapest way! Won't get to pick your own rank but hey, we can't all rule the galaxy

Actually, Empy, I think the easiest way would be to link Guru to a rickroll via exactly 27 PMs.

I asked the same question and I was scared to death of getting ranks like: "Help me! I'm an idiot!" or "Filthy thief".

You don't get those without a reason. You'd have to claim you made something (models most of the time) while it isn't your work to get the thief rank (I presume), or break plenty a rule/be quite annoying to get the idiot one. Besides, you're more likely to get "first warning" instead of becoming the idiot

That's the idea behind a warning. It will probably go away after a month or so. (I'm not 100% sure though)

Ah well, I'd suggest behaving as best as you can, that seems to help. (not saying that you're not now. If you really, really, really feel like your warning should immediatly be lifted, I'd suggest waiting for an answer in this topic.)

While I doubt it was a full five months, I did go ahead and lift it anyway. Usually we'll try to knock off warnings after about a month or so, depending on current behavior, activity level, and what the original warning was given for. I can't promise it every time, but usually if you've had your warning for a long time and you think there's a chance we missed you when we're looking for warnings to take off, if you shoot a PM to me explaining:
a) What your original warning was for, and
b) When you got it
I'll go ahead and remove it if you've been on good behavior.

a) I got it because I accidentally bumped too many topics in the Game Modding Fourm.
b) Don't quite remember, but it was around 4-5 months

Well by the sound of it, he made one idiotic post, it was deleted, he was slapped with a bad rank, and then he was scared off.

actually I believe that happened since I've been here and im pretty sure he received that for claiming multiple times that models that were clearly not his were. So Im pretty sure the mods banned him but kept that rank as a warning of sorts.
