Its Officially announced just now BioWare is developing a massively multiplayer game set in the same universe as its award-winning Star Wars RPGs.

Star Wars MMO ftw!

Personally I'd have hoped to get another single player KotOR; I doubt this'll have a great storyline and a massive amount of different paths. Who knows though.

Bummer. I wish I had the time and disposable income to waste on an MMO (...sort've ). I hope it doesn't advance the story, because I'd be disappointed to miss out on playing that through.

And the KotOR series will end as all good franchises seem to lately. With an MMO. I mean Diablo, Warcraft and Warhammer, they've all turned MMO.

KotOR's just another one for the lists.

Most big name MMOs are Pay to Play, I doubt this will be an exception.

Well a study or something said that monthly payments of MMO's maybe going out the window and being replaced by in-game micro-transactions. Personally i'd rather have the game be free to play online and if you want X features or something more then you pay, like LIVE (even though that's not a game, but a good example).

I can't wait to hear which engine it's going to use and it's sticking with the d20 system. I sure hope it uses atleast the Mass Effect all Voice-Overs part. That'd make it EPIC.

darn... another MMO, id like to see a singleplayer rpg set in clone wars time, or between epIII and epIV (with darth vader as the big evil guy... or your commander, and stormies/rebels instead of sith troopers)

and i hope they will make it like in mass effect (which is btw one of the best games i ever played, i hate the music though), i mean than you CAN shoot and AIM and not just give orders

but if have have to PAY every month (thats why i dont own galaxies, have played only the trial version... and i must say it wasnt that good, the engine [you-know-what-i-mean]) i wont buy it either

Um. Are you talking about the mod for Star Wars: Republic Commando? I got it, it's not that great. Very difficult, hardly any ammo, and random trandoshan elite n00brushes. Other than that, it's very laggy in single player because of the completely pointless & unnecessary full-body reskin, multiplayer dies a screaming death, and you look like you are bleeding profusely when you use the 3rd-person cheat. Wow, did I just make a review for it?

If there will be private servers for it like WoW, I'll buy it, if not, and it's a monthly fee... Oh well.

private servers would be good, if there will be only a couple of them (like 2 or 3), but if there will be hundreds like in WoW there will be not that much players visiting them it will be pretty boring and you wont be able to visit some dungeons
