Yes betting system.

Fragme and I were talking, and he figured out if you made an object a droid class, you could push it around. This means you could play volleyball with forcepush, or soccer/polo with tanks.

I'm going to see if I can add something like that somewhere :)

1st paragraph: Sweet! Does this mean I get credit (lol, jk. I could care less)
2nd paragraph: You do realize that you could do an RPG-style push block here, pull block there, break this block style maze with that technique?
3rd paragraph: That'd be awesome, and then that wouldn't even be overloading the map with LUA coding!

Gamer's lounge. You can see fragme here on tv (pun). The tv is a funny picture gallery that scrolls by. You can sit in the sofas and look around (or watch tv).

Booth seats are in the corners of the room. They seat 5 people, and you can also look around while sitting in them. This makes a good setting for talks about strategy and such.

The heart of the mode is the battle system. You can see here the 2 team portals and the reset button. Also in the far left you can see a bit of the remote camera system.

The actual arena. It is full of Egyptian-like obstacles. The arena is very challenging to play in, as there are so many obstacles to hide behind.

A summery of the system is:
1) You enter either team1 or team2 pods to register on a team.
2) You are teleported to a holding area, while a 30 second countdown timer allows more people to register.
3) When the timer elapses, you will be released and the battle commences.
4) Whichever team wins will get 12 points (every member will).
5) The system is reset, allowing for more matches to take place.

Another note, if you kill someone in the lobby (and you are not registered in a battle) you will be sent to jail for 30 seconds.

I plan on copy-and-pasting this into DMI, it has helped me to work out a lot of bugs, such as the sofas and booth seats. This map is about 99% done, I just need to test online again, to iron out some odd jail bugs. I figured it would be a waste to only release to LH or MX, so I decided to make a wip.



EDIT: Also, my hoth king of the hill map is so small that I just decided to make a map pack.

Summary:

This is just a hill in the middle of no where. The modes of this map focus on controlling the hill. In GCW era, you play as all wampas. In CW era, you are jedi only.

readme:


YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SEE THE MODES ON THE MAP SELECTION SCREEN UNLESS: you run HKH_install_shell.bat located in C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData (or whatever your install path may be).

However, when Zerted completes his SWBF2v1.3 mod (and you get it), this step will NOT BE NEEDED.

--={Before you play}=--
This is a MULTIPLAYER ONLY map. There are no ai. If you make a server:

Must be set:
-teams = player select
-friendly fire = on

Optional:
-CTF limit = 3
-{adjust conquest, hunt, and CTF timers according to how long you want to play}

---------------------------------------

Below is the list of modes and eras:

-{DeathMatch Mode}-
Free for all, no teams. Ignore any red or blue icons, you get 2 points for every kill (kills may say negataive though).

Tech notes: uses conquest timer.

-{King of the Hill Mode}-
In this mode, your team must capture a CP at the top of the hill. Remember this is a team mode, so don't TK (you will lose points).

Tech notes: uses CTF score and time limit

-{Control Mode}-
A ring will appear at the top of the hill. When you "control" this ring, you will start to gain points. There is no points for killing, only for maintaining control of the ring. Blue indicates that the player is being given points.

Tech notes: uses Hunt score and time limit (note that hunt has a default time limit of 5 minutes)

Sides for cw and gcw are shipped sides, maybe I could reskin them or maybe use HD if I get those done.

Modern sides are pretty far along. I'm making a red vs blue mod that will ad that era to every shipped map and mine.


~New Ideas~

Game room
-Picture scramble - move blocks around in a grid to make a picture again
-Droid dueling ring - command remote controlled droids to duel your opponent in a sectioned off ring.
-Arena cams - so you can see the main battle from the game room
-Music and twilek dancers - come on everyone liked staring at the twileks in kotor
-Pong/soccer - game played with kickable ball, perhaps a little court somewhere
-Jedi Volleyball - because force push has to be used for something :)

TV Channels (im going to put a tv in the game room too)
-ads
-fail pics
-lolcats
-comic strips
-funny pictures

Shooting gallery
-Moving targets - side-to-side, cardboard cutouts of droids, people, etc.
-Shooting skeet - as in the shotgun "PULL" bam!

Local sides
-At least random people standing around like in kotor, would add to atmosphere.

Keypad- for unlocking special content, admin commands for the arena system, etc. (Will be 012...89 * ). I'm thinking maybe including a list of numbers to do batch commands like close and locking all the doors, shutting down arena, etc, wherever I need more input into the system.


As you see, I did some brainstorming. Your input is welcome too! (got any good ideas?) :)

This is one ambitious map. I know I've said this before, and people are probably getting sick of me saying this, but I seriously didn't think half those things were possible. Unfortunately, I don't really have any suggestions at the moment, :( but I might soon.
