Weapen change key
Hi,
i have a mouse with 5 keys. is there a way to use the forward and back key for changing the primary and secundary weapon?? That would be awesome. I tryed the settings and selceted infantary, than the primary weapon change and klicked the back key from my mouse, but nothing happens. I don't know why. but at focus enemy it says Q or mousekey 4. Don'T knwo what key this should be, but it shows me that BFII knows more than just 3 mouse keys.

Which mouse is it? If it's a Logitech M510, it's easy to get working for SWBF2. Otherwise, it might still be, but I have a M510, so I could help with it or probably other Logitech mice too.

Re: Weapen change key
If it came with software you might be able to change the profile.
Like, stock it might be programmed to do like,
But then change it to something like
Might also be called Generic Button for all extra buttons, and may still work with browser as expected.
And games generally do better with settings like that, and the buttons may still work as back and forward in a browser
Or, if it doesn't have Mouse Button 4/5 but has Keybind
Logitech mice come with software that does this, I don't know whether HP mice do or not.
Like, stock it might be programmed to do like,
Code: Select all
LMouse = Left Click
RMouse = Right CLick
Press down on wheel = Zoom
LSide Button = Back
RSide Button = Forward
Code: Select all
LMouse = Left Click
RMouse = Right CLick
Press down on wheel = Middle Click
LSide Button = Mouse Button 4
RSide Button = Mouse Button 5
And games generally do better with settings like that, and the buttons may still work as back and forward in a browser
Or, if it doesn't have Mouse Button 4/5 but has Keybind
Code: Select all
LMouse = Left Click
RMouse = Right CLick
Press down on wheel = middle click
LSide Button = Keybind [Right Arrow]
RSide Button = Keybind [Left Arrow]

Re: Weapen change key
Yeah those look like the most likely options. So set them and go ingame and try setting the controls with the mouse buttons, it should think you are pressing the keys and list the controls that way, but ingame work correctly.
