ok so ive got the modtools for swbf1. i cant get them to work, im using the best of pc. the "game needs installing" error message keeps popping up, but i cant get past it by doing what the readme said to do. help.

are you using it for swbf1 or 2?

you cannot make maps with Best of PC, Zero Edit doesnt recognize the DVD version, only Original CD version.
So you cant open Zero edit, you can however make mods.

Put the BFBuilder folder you downloaded directly on your C:/ drive, then you can use this to get started on modding

Then later on you can starting making units and stuff (and making more difficult mods) but, get used to it by making some modds using this tut.

Modding is just as fun.
