BFII Crashes After Picking a Profile.
Hello Gametoast! It's been a while!
Suddenly, after playing with my friend on a map I'm working on, I can no longer play BFII. As soon as I start up and pick a profile, the screen goes black, and the only thing I see is a small, rounded corner rectangle in the bottom left corner of the screen, and the cursor, of which I cannot move. I've tried removing a couple of maps, even though I'm sure I'm below the max, and it still does the same thing.
I've also tried running it in Modtools, but there it runs fine.
Which brings me to a conclusion, that I'm not sure is correct or not, but here gos:
This, as I said, only started after I played on Multiplayer with my map-in-progress, so I'm guessing it's an internet connection problem, because I believe after you pick a profile, it tries to get on the net.
What do you think? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

normally the programm did not go automaticaly in i-net.
but you could try it if you have i-net. i think it will crash too.
So what about your map what kind of map is it??
have you changed something on the ingame core .. files ??

Re: BFII Crashes After Picking a Profile.
I had a problem like that before, it just goes to a black screen with a white box-shape image near the bottom right corner.
For me I just waited a while and it would go to the selection screen for the games.
(just suggestions) Did you take away the mod map that you made from the Addon folder?
If you did, it might be that either the Battlefront 2 or the mod map is, maybe, corrupted.
figure out if there are any problems with your mod map.
or re-install battlefront 2.
I may be wrong on it being corrupted, but it might be the case.

Re: BFII Crashes After Picking a Profile.
Thanks for the suggestions! I tried removing the entire addon folder, but to no prevail. So, I decided to uninstall and reinstall BFII.
When I uninstalled, I opted to keep my saved game stuff, and I think that bit me in the butt.
When I go to install it back, I get this:

And the whole installer closes.
Does anyone have a fix to this? Thanks for your help!

What file does it open to trigger the message?

None.
When I insert disk 1, (the play disk), I get the screen with the install button. Then, I hit install, and a splash screen shows up, and then the install wizard opens, and prepares to install.
Then I'm here:
And the instant after I click the "Next >" button, I get this:
I have no idea what's going on... Could the installer be corrupted?

Re: BFII Crashes After Picking a Profile.
Nope, tried turning off my Anti-virus during install, and it did the same thing.
I even tried cleaning the disk with soap and water, and inserting into a different disk drive, and still the same thing.
Do you think it could be the fact that I opted to keep my saved file stuff?

Re: BFII Crashes After Picking a Profile.
could you try to install it on another computer?
If it's the saved files, it would only be on one computer and on another it would be perfectly fine.

Re: BFII Crashes After Picking a Profile.
If you think it's because of the saved files, I would suggest delete/move the saved files.
