My family doesn't actually have Cable TV - so any TV shows we watch are purchased on DVD. We all like Simpsons (as well as the movie) - we own seasons 4-9. I heard that from season 10, the series went downhill.

It pretty much did, it used to be a very down to earth show with occasional craziness, but from 10 on it focused more on those zany antics rather than the character based stories dealing with the interactions and relationships of those characters.
