I will give you a clue: you're on a site that hosts both of them.

Pandemic's "Clone Wars" and "Lord of the Rings: Conquest" both use Zero, but neither has tools released (the former was console-only, I think).

Yeah, probably. Nobody has bothered to though, since SWBF1/2 blow LotR: Conquest away.

Pandemic owns the zero engine, so many of it's games use the ZE.

Dark Reign 2 also used Zero. As far as BattleZone II I seem to remember some really old school modding sites, but I dunno if they're around anymore. Googling would probably be your best bet, the game is pretty old. I can tell you that the DR2/BZ2 stuff doesn't work in SWBF1/2, but that's all I remember.

so the models arent in msh format? i played the demo so i dont really want to use them anymore though, theyre worse than lz formats of bf1
but they inspired me to make a map.

I dont think there are any other zero engine games that are worth modding, but if anyone knows of any other post here

lotr conquest uses ZE? i saw an interview with the director or so and he said its the unreal 3 engine. and the folders/files dont look like zero engine...they must have done a really big change.

I'd be very surprised if it weren't an upgraded Zero Engine, one, because I've heard that it is, and two, because just playing through the game, you can see remnants from the Battlefront games in the style of the game.

For those who trust Wikipedia, it says that it uses the Zero Engine.

Which would follow if Epic Games made the game. It looks and smells like a Zero game, so I'd say it's ZeroEngine.

I don't know where you heard that, but that's DEFINITELY not UE3.

Financially its unfeasible for Pandemic to use UE3 anyways, their last few games prior to LotR:Conquest we're not best sellers and recieved mediocre reviews. So why would they payout the money to Epic Games to license the use of UE3, for a game that may or may not be a success. Added to the fact that they already have a in house game engine that can be upgraded for next gen anyways, and fits the style of game play they are aiming for.

Are you including BF1 and BF2 in the 'medicore' circle?

He may be. But they certainly didn't sell "mediocrely," considering that they are the best-selling SW games ever.

I've always read that BF1 and BF2 were quite well received by players and critics. Had flaws, like every other game, but generally well-received.

Pandemic did a lot of other games besides the SWBF series. He's probably referring to Mercenaries 2, which was poorly received.
