Hello everyone
Since Battleweek 7 launch date is approaching fast, I would appreciate if you could send me an email describing your map and when you expect to finish it. This way we can give everyone's map a fair shot to be the official map for BW7.
Please don't forget that every map shouldn't be released to the public only the moderators of BW7 for testing. Second thing is that the map should be a medium/small size battlefield since most matches during BW are 5v5 or less.
My email is [email protected]
Please contact me if you have any questions.
Thank you for showing your support for Battleweek. Without any exaggeration, having Gametoast participating was probably one of the best things that ever happened to the event.
Regards,

It's worth noting while this is a nice idea, vehicle maps are often avoided during battleweek amongst many of the clans, as we prefer skill over spawn camping. After the work I put into the TIE Int, the last thing I want is to be spawn camped to f*** by it in a Battleweek ! Popular maps: Cloud City, Rhen Var Citadel, Kamino, Jabba (yes I know, mine whores, but at least you get to spawn)

Thank you for your interest Krytoss. I was wondering though if Rhen Var Siege has been released before -even in beta version. As I said before, we need a "never seen before" map in order to increase the intrerest in BW and Gametoast and at the same time, raise the challenge even higher (since no one has seen the map before).
Thanks again!

Thanks again!

Hi Rebel,
I would have been glad to submit my map because I think it's a great map, but I think it's too big for Battleweek matches of 4-5 people on a side. It's on the scale of say, Endor, but a little bit wider (I do need some way of measuring). It also has some vehicles on it. Oh well, maybe I'll have a smaller one ready for BW8.

Hey Rippen Tuck
We can be flexible on the map size requirements . If you think that the map is good enough for Battleweek, send it to me at [email protected]
Thanks

I agree, but u forgot one thing:Saturn_V wrote:We should put a map together and put your tie interceptor and my a-wing in it.

not only vehicles maps are "ready for spawnkilling".
An example?
Bespin Cloud City (with bots obviously).
Putting a sniper on one side of the tunnel is like spawnkilling, infact it can kill troops just spawned, especially bots. This thing in other games is better known with the name of "Campering".
And for doing this isn't needed any particular skill, like for spawnkilling.
Another map like this is Jabba (with bots). And it's another infantry only map.
Imho is not the presence of vehicles that do the difference between a map "ready for spawnkilling" and a map where infantry skill can do the difference.
The problem is the conformation of the map.
And obviously the strategy used from the teams.

One answer is to make a map where the vehicles can not physicaly fire upon the spawn points. It's the map maker's responsibility if there are "camping" spots, both vehicular or soldier. It takes a lot of thought in to making maps that will please MOST people. There is no way to please EVERYONE.
